As The Dutchess‘ fifth and final single, Fergie‘s Clumsy continues to stumble up the charts. In order to help its final ascent is the inevitable remix; although the assistants aren’t quite who anyone would expect. Mr. ColliPark easily handles the pop-sounding synth-percussion production by turning Clumsy into a club friendly guarantee and along for the ride is his protege, the self-proclaimed “Teen of the South,” Soulja Boy (who can’t help but reference his first two singles). Taking risks can both help and hurt an artist equally. Taking a risk on the fifth and final single from an album you released last year, however, is a no brainer.
You are so right! The original beat was the best; but the track is still acceptable with the beat change. This is the first time I heard soulja boy on a feature where he actually belonged. Its decent...
Not particularly feelin this remix but couldn't help notice, Soulja Boy was beckoned by the Dutchess. Oh iiiSH! WATCH OUT Soulja! DA HATERS are coming...
I agree with da gingerbread man, the original is much 2 unique to try and make a remix.. But this isnt that bad so il give it a 2star, but no more then that..
Remixes don't do justice to the song's original version these days. It's as if any producer or DJ can pick up a record, tweak a few things, throw in a featured artists, and call it a remix. This remix could have been a lot better if it featured a veteran in the industry like Nelly Furtado or JT. Fergie and Soulja Boy don't match.
you know what that mtv show THE HILLS is on some dumb sh*t..ima make a show called THE BUMBS about havin to eat ramen noodles everyday cause the electric bill high. anyways my reviews are always *clumsy* im on that kool-aid fresh mind-state. soulja boy did ok 3 starzz 4 rotation
I am going to jump on the boat and say that the original beat was so much better. I personally don't like the collaboration, I mean Fergie and Soulja Boy.....not a good idea. I don't think every song needs a remix, and clumsy is one of them.
I'm surpised at how much I liked this, but Arouse is right. The Fergie/Soulja boy team just doesn't work (I think she's approximatly 47 years older than him).
these guys just wanted something to mix well with flashing lights
whatever, this will go well for anyone that mixes as at a white club for real sorry I mean a european type club!
uh uh, not feelin it...at all. just loved the orig. version too much...plus i'm definitely not a fan of soulja boy...not a hater though. no lyrics to him though. anyway, 2 stars because i'm nice...
I don't know about this one--especially the whistling. Soulja boy's part was alright. I don't know about dropping this at the club maybe the acapella not the beat. However, the last 1 1/2 minute of the song dropped really hard.
I didnt mean comment this one earlier and i put Garbage and i didnt mean to put that, but this song is without a doubt great its just the beat. To me that beat will never be as good as the first one.
I bet Soulja Boy didn't want to do this song, and then ColliPark showed him that pic of Fergie and he was like YYYOOOOUUUUU!!!! On the real I hate Fergie's music, but I'll give this one a 3 out of 5.
i hate this dumb ass song and i'm tired of hearing it. every time i turn arond this song is playin. the beat in the begining is wack and she's wack. the best she ever did was "my humps" and even that was just okay. solo ain't her thing. she needs to get back with her group.
