Warning: if you’re an underground hip-hop head the following announcement may just make your head explode. Not only have underground hero Slug and hip-hop presidential candidate Murs reunited to form Felt, but their latest project is being produced entirely by Aesop Rock and will be dedicated to…wait for it…actress Rosie Perez of White Men Can’t Jump/Do the Right Thing fame. The first leak off that sure to be highly anticipated album is the apocalyptically banging Chewed Up, and track that’s unapologetically aggressive thanks to some dagger-sharp verses from Murs and that testosterone fueled rap/singing thing Slug loves to do: “Shut that mouth you better not act out.” That’s not a warning it’s a promise. FELT 3: A Tribute to Rosie Perez is set to hit stores and online distributors on November 17. In the meantime, underground heads are highly encouraged to avoid hyperventilating.

Aesop Rock went IN on this production. Murs & Slug were mad illy. This goes in! Even non-underground or die-hard hip hop fans should like this!

This is some head spinning music. The production is everywhere (not to mention super dope) and the flows keep pace nicely over it. This is a dope combination, I'm feelin it.

I never used to be huge fans of any of the parties involved here, but man they all came correct. I am actually really looking forward to this collaborative album.

I have to say, the line-up on this is a dream come true for me, but I wasn't feeling the verses as much (it was the production that dominated for me). Definitely looking forward to more Felt in my life, but honestly, I gotta go three stars on this one.

Crazy production here, but I agree that the track as a whole didnt meet my expectations.
Felt 1 was dope, but I never checked Felt 2. With Aesop behind the boards, 3 could be the best one yet. |

The production is sickening on this I'm definently feeling this man. It so different but it kind of has that Slaughterhouse feel to it. I'm Like DJ Z, I'm was not fans of Murs or Slug but if this is a sign I'm feeling where they're coming from together. Favorite of the week.

The production is sick. This is probably going to be better than the others. |

Aesop Rock slays the beat, whereas both Slug and Murs does just enough to avoid being completely overshadowed with some witty bars.
I am excited to hear what Felt has in store for this new release. (especially with Aesop Rock handling the boards) |
