DJ Felli Fel - Boomerang
Artist: DJ Felli Fel
Featuring: Akon , Pitbull , Jermaine Dupri
Producer: DJ Felli Fel, co-prod. The Futuristiks
Album: None
Label: Rock Hill Productions
DJ Felli Fel has been working on his debut project for a minute. And when I say a minute, I mean that 2007’s Get Buck in Here was one of the singles that was planned for his Go DJ! album. Though the album has officially fallen by the wayside, Felli’s not about to stop cranking out his trademark club anthems, this time enlisting previous feature artists Akon and Pitbull with JD joining the ride on Boomerang. If you’ve been keeping up with DJ-inspired supercollabs, the tone on this one should be no surprise, with a heavy synth production, a catchy hook from Mr. Lonely and quickly paced party bars from Pit. If there’s any indication from his previous attempts, listeners should be hearing this one blasting through the radio speakers any time now. If you liked this one, keep it locked to DJBooth for more monster singles.

I feel like we've been down this road before. In fact, Felli's DJ counterpart Mr. Khaled has been down this road too many times to count. There is a way to make a club record for the dance floor with star power, but without going over the top. I'd rotate this if I were a club DJ, but everyday hip hop fans are going to be disappointed.

Yep...We have heard a version of this track so many times within the last 2 years. But we cant complain, the club needs tracks and this one is pretty nice (though very generic).

Meh, catchy to begin with but that annoying high pitched sound in the hook just ruins it

calling JD and Pitbull and Akon to do this song must be hard work, to make a beat is hard work, to create a album art is hard... all for a song that sucks very very bad! what a waste of time and effort.

Yes, yes, yes, I agree. Generic, played, etc. However, for this track in particular, I have a soft spot due to the production switch on the chorus, which really caught my ears.
