When you are given the nickname “Joey Crack,” it makes perfect sense to write and record a song entitled, That White. Right? Well, off his forthcoming album, Elephant In The Room, the under-appreciated (his term, no ours) MC spits thankful bars about cocaine, while record scratches from prominent producer DJ Premier lace a New York-style beat. Strangely enough, despite his nickname and the constant references to blow in his music, Fat Joeadmitted to DJBooth that he doesn’t do any drugs and rarely drinks. Regardless of the song’s relationship to real life, listen to Mr. “Crilla Mania” bless the existence of crack rock when his new album drops on March 11.
I like the Beatnuts style beat that Premier brings on this track. I am not a big Fat Joe fan; but this is acceptable right here. He flows nicely over this beat. I would listen to this again and again; so it has to go in rotation!
Maybe it's just me but I just can't feel Fat Joe's flow. Just another Joe track to me. Do you really believe this man lives a substance free life like he says? I really don't, but I guess that is besides the point. Beat is good, just can't get into Joe.
I haven't liked Fat Joe in a while, but I am feeling this one. The Premier beat is great and Joe flows real smooth over this one. It was nice to hear him giving shoutouts to his former D.I.T.C. members in the intro. I still don't think I would spend any money on his new album though.
this is preaty nice right here ..... has that classic tight new feel to it ..... i never looked towards fat joe's way .... but this song is tight !!! ha in rot... no prob!!
I respect Fat Joe since he's been in the game forever, and he has never let 50 push him around like Ja Rule did. But I still can't get into his music. He's another one of those people who are really good on one song, and then really annoying on another. I'd throw this in rotation, but he needs to quit tryin' to be like Jeezy on this one.
BEST song I've heard in a LONG time from Fat Joe. He kills it in everyway. This is just the kinda song he needed to kill, beat and sound is ideal and his flow and swagger fit PERFECT. Probably one of the only Fat Joe songs I'd rate a Banger. Keep getting DJ Premier to produce ur stuff CRACK.
PICK UP TO DJ PREMIER ON THE BEAT. BUT I'M NOT FEELING FAT JOE ON THE BAT. THE BEAT IS SICK BUT I DON'T SEE JOEY ON THIS . I WOULD MIND LIKE NAS OR 50 CENT OR OLD SKOOL RAPPERS. BU TI GUESS IS IN ROTATION!
YO YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT THAT . I WONT TELL REMIX RYDA MIX WITH 50 ON IT . SOMEBODY MADE THE SONG WITH 50 ON . AND ITS BETTER . 50 MADE FAT JOE SONG BETTER . THIS SONG IS ALL RIGHT
