Think you can mess with Fat Joe and live to tell the tale? You’ve gotta be kidding. On the lead single off his 11th studio album, the chronically-underrated emcee makes clear that, if you come around looking for trouble, his hearty laughter (accompanied, I assume, by some Santa-esque belly vibration) will be the last sound you ever hear. Backed by Scoop DeVille‘s eccentrically catchy, vocal-sampled boardwork, Haha (Slow Down Son) finds Joe exulting in his ‘hood legend status, mixing hard-nosed trash talk with pop-culture allusions: “Now what, you boys got a death wish? / I be the motherf*cker uglier than Precious.” On the middle verse, ATL’s own Young Jeezy steps up to the mic to remind us just how long he’s come from his coke-slinging days (and drop the obligatory Avatar reference). Will Joey Crack’s forthcoming full-length, The Darkside - which has yet to receive a solid release date - be a return to form after the less-than-stellar sales of last year’s J.O.S.E. 2? For now, we can only speculate…

Joe impressed me, mostly because of low expectations though, soulful production was nice (although I could've gone without one of the haha's in the beginning). Jeezys rough voice sounded alright here. Definitely Bumps. 3.5.

Really impressed with this one, it's refreshing to hear anything over 2 starts from Joey Crack. Although Scoop's production and Jeezy's guest verse outshined him, I still like the song overall. This will go hard. 4 star banger right here.

*Laughs* I actually kinda dig this.

Joey took it back on this one. This is something I could have heard (and enjoyed) about 10-13 years ago. Scoop Deville is really making a name for himself with catchy-ass beats.

First off: MAJOR props to Scoop DeVille on the Soul II Soul sample..."Back to Life" is still as refreshing as ever (LOVED how JR Rotem did that sample on Maino's "However Do You Want It", and this bangs too)

Second: Joey been getting a lot of hate lately (though I still enjoyed him, not many others have). Good to see he's back to top form and getting his respect back.

Third: Jeezy (yes, you can still call him "Young" Jeezy for now) comes with it again-like always. He's had that balance where he's an A-list rapper, but doesn't sacrifice quality.

Fourth: I will support any track by those who support Southeast Wisconsin (Joey got Rico Love as executive producer on his last album, Jeezy signed Ray Rizzy to CTE, plus did a hella banger at the AMW show complete with cellphone-illuminated "Soul Survivor"-he knows how the Mil does it!)

If only Jeezy could of gone over the whole track, he killed some sick production from Scoop DeVille. Fat Joe though was suprisingly good , probably his best performance in a long time

I'm a little mystified by how thoroughly folks have turned on Fat Joe. I've made enough Fat Joe is fat jokes to last a lifetime, but the dude's at worst solid, a fact we hear here.

Loved the production but it doesn't match the pace of the verses. I blame Joey/Jeezy for that, not Scoop. I want to support Joey Crack, but honestly, not a big fan.

Joey has never impressed me as a rapper, at times he is even irritating....but this is hot! Jeezy went HARD though! Joe got owned on his own track! Not to mention he jacked Jay for his Blueprint 3 flow...in rotation

While the beat is hitting your ears like hail on your windshield, both Joe and Jeezy spit some of the illest flows we have heard from them in a while.

Uncovered some respect for Joey in this track, slow down son! I'm not sayin the creativity isn't homemade but if this is Joey I want to know what summer camp he went to because he got a lil of that propane flow now..rotation approved

I've listened to this twice now and still can't decide if I like it, Jeezy was amazin' I thought, thank GOD Scared Money saved his crap tracks before that. Good to see Fat Joe reelin' in some fish for once, his flow was alot better than usual, prod was goo dtoo, I just think it wasn't my thing, prob why I can't decide if I like it or not, give it time :) In rotation for now

Whats UP DJBOOTH!!! Ok, so its my first rating ever & I dont want to come off the wrong way BUT... I sense A LOT of HATING going on for Fat Joe ...Lets be honest here for a sec... He isn't the best rapper around (we all know that), but he's been doing his thing for a long time, banger after banger and lets just say, he's made his $$$ off this game, PERIOD!!!! So why so much hating for JOEY CRACK???

I give this a 3 1/2 stars, def not his best work, but good try...Jeezy is Jeezy!!

***NO offense to anyone, just my opinion BOOTH, thats all!!! I got respect for anyone who can be in this game and MAKE A LIVING OFF IT!!!!
