When Fat Joe released his eighth album, The Elephant In The Room, he hoped to finally secure his well-deserved spot in hip hop’s upper echelon. Unfortunately, besides the Top 40 hit I Won’t Tell and the Best of the Booth-nominated Ain’t Sayin’ Nuthin (Remix), not much attention or sales followed. Never one to quit, Joey Crack is already planning album #9, which introduces his new alias: Nino “Dubs” DeLuca. On his new buzz single and potential club banger, Winding on Me, Don Cartagena teams up with his frequent collaborator, hip-hop’s top name of ‘08, and the recipient of 14 BotB nominations, Lil Wayne, as well as veteran producer/up-and-coming artist Ron Browz. Though Nino “Dubs” DeLuca has no set release date, the star power brought to bear on Winding on Me could make the record an early candidate for biggest single of ‘09.

Wow, it might take a few listens, but this is horrible!! The beat is horrible; why do producers nowadays think a drum beat and a sound effect is a banger?? Ron Browz is pretty awful, his use of the autotune is unbelievably bad, off key and everything......and it hardly matches the beat!! Fat joe sounds lazy over this, and Wayne is just average...

Damn! Ron Browz straight up murdered it with that beat. It has such a dark feel to it yet it would be a great club banger and although Wayne doesnt really go with the beat its still a killa track!

Not to be a hater, but Fat Joe is weak. His last three albums have all sold close to nothing and have had one single from each that did AVERAGE on the charts. I've lost most hope and respect for Joey because I know to expect nothing from his albums anymore. He needs Weezy or another artist to carry every track he puts out just so it gets some play. Ron Browz has a hot club banger with Pop Champagne right now, but I'm getting pretty tired of his production sounding the same and how he's completely "swagger jacking" T-Pain LOL.
All opinions aside, this song gets really boring fairly quickly but does give you a little bit of hope at the beginning. I have solemly sworn not to download/purchase another Fat Joe album ever again, and this has not changed my opinion. |

Yeah, I myself don't expect much from Fat Joe @ all anymore...kinda gave up on him couple months ago...BUT WEEZY F BABY WAS AMAZING!!!..."I break yo're girl off- and you are not Mr. Fix It"!!! Damn, he murdered this song- where he could! And Ron was just ok- kinda boring. Overall it's in rotation- I'll play it a couple more times...but I'm skipping to only Waynes verse.

Ron Browz on production has been pretty good lately, though this song aint that great in my mind. I prefer Weezy's & Joe's last collaboration on 'Crackhouse' then this.

fat joe was nice on this and i usually don't like his flow or presence on the song. wayen was oka nothing special. and ron brows is not a singer... he needts to remember that, the hook was the weakest part. but overall the song is 3 stars. but damn ron brows... please do not sing.

The beat - which is pretty basic and boring - doesn't even fit the theme of the lyrics at ALL. Ron Browz is wack anyway, everybody should know by now. And Lil Wayne, well if u tell the society 10x that he is the best out there, they gonna believe cause they brainwashed. Fat Joe is so @*#$! wack for this one. god damn

despite constant hating on fat joe, his cds have all been overall, not great, but he consitatntly makes good music. I did not like waynes verse on this at all, old wayne sounded much better wit joe, ron brownz sounded weird on this beat as compared to arab money where he sounded perfect, songs weak but moreso due to wayne and brown in my opinion

Ok. So the beat is a lil draggy. But this is like a song for the club or for the dancer chicks. It's got a sexy vibe to it - which is why I think this will be a feel good track for the ladies.
I think the production was done well. I like Wayne's verse, but there aren't many Wayne verses I don't like. That Joe the Plumber line was funny.... Fat Joe hasn't done it for me since Roc-A-Way and his verse here wasn't impressive. Juelz Santana shoulda jumped on this. I think its cool! Its in rotation for me. |

LOL!!! When I first heard this song, I almost threw up at the sound of Browz voice and waited for someone to bash him in the comments below. I gotta say, honestly, even though the chorus is some trash, dis is somethin that will appeal to surburban teens and wannabe thugs who think they are gangsta, and they will definitely bump this in the car. I also see this, unfortunately, going into BIG rotation because of Lil Wayne. I think the production is pretty good however. Browz is not making music to show he has talent, hes making music to appeal to the masses. And people like this type of stuff, I cant tell you how many people love Pop Champagne and Jumpin Out The Window. So, unfortunately, this song will be successful.
