Since the film 300 was released last March, the legend of the tiny Spartan army (and their valiant fight against the much more powerful Persians) has been at the forefront of pop culture. Inspired by the story (or just the movie) is Bronx legend Fat Joe, who takes the role of King Leonidas, as he leads his Terror Squad army in a “street war.” Joey Crack’s deeds to his enemies are about as violent as you can get (”cut your testicles/stuff ‘em in your mouth where them lil’ sh*ts belong”), but remember there remains a large difference between real battles and those found on wax. With JC doing his part, the rest of the fire comes from the sampling of the movie’s first fight scene (”this is where we fight, and this is where they die”). Sound the warning horns; The Elephant In The Room stampedes into stores and online retailers on March 11th.
you need a song to get you pumped...damn...i think i found it...its decent i guess...could have done without the opera chorus those couple of times...its hard tho, real gritty
Man, i thought that movie was kind of corny, didn't think Joey'd(or anyone) would make a song after this. Good flow, but i'm diffenitly not a Crack fan, hell, i thought Make It Rain was sucky
"300" doesn't live up to Joe Crack's better singles in the past but it is definitely displaying his creativity and charisma. Fat Joe must have been really pissed off at someone when he was writing this song, it sounds like something out of a torture house for real.
I guess hangin around a lot with Lil Wayne or just the fact Weezy’s on every track (like a box of Pumas y’dig!?) is making these rappers all sound like him (YoungBerg,BowWow,… and now, Fat Joe!)! The way he pronounces “professional” is absolutely “Weezyish”! And the whole flow. But you know what? I’d rather hear this style than some lame other else. Good to hear Fat Joe goin hard. The beat is powerful, the whole opera thing, very good.
Honestly, I am not really feeling the beat and Use of the 300 franchise here on th is track. The lyrics isn't anything special from Fat Joe. The flow isn't that bad, but it's just not what I was thinking. The Chorus sounds rushed as well.
I give it to Joe for consistently trying to step up....key word trying......but this chorus is garbage...this sound more like a intro on a album....the beat fire but that "we want war crap" is garbage....and he aint saying nothing clever in his verses either
(LOL @ Joe's intro... "I'm in the greatest shape of my life!" Really? Wow.) Now that I got that off my chest, on to the song... uh, no. Sad when you flow tighter on other people's songs than you do on your own. This whole thing strikes me the same watching 6th grade boys rochambeaux each other on the playground - misguided machismo.
I don’t think this is enough Z. Don’t get me wrong, this is good, for me. But when you were knocked out, you gotta bring a KO album back. Give him the right producers (Cool&Dre, Scott Storch, Statik Selektah, Danja…) and anything is possible.
blkgotti79 Doesnt matter what it sounds like as long as he places it in the right spot on the album then it will make sense then plus you have no idea what direction he is headed with this album so sit back and wait like everybody else and admit this song pumps you up. I dont usually listen to fat joe he sucked for a couple years well majority of his career but i like this song and the trey songs joint he got out so it may be fat joes year. Banger!!!!!
I'd rather hear this from "joey crak" anyday kinda reminds of the good old when pun was at the helm dropping classic for the hood...not sayin this is a classic but its better than what joe has put out in past couple years
