From Socrates onward, philosophers have hotly debated what constitutes “the good life.” Is it about virtue? Moderation? Renunciation of worldly goods? Friendship? Self-sufficiency? On new single Live My Life, the follow-up to the reader-acclaimed (but polarizing) Jello, the Los Angeles electro-hop heavyweights offer their perspective on the age-old question. Unsurprisingly, the ideal vocalists Kev Nish, Prohgress and Jay Splif describe over RedOne‘s synth-drenched four-on-the-floor boardwork is all about letting loose, partying until the break of dawn, and generally enjoying the best of what life has to offer (especially when what’s on offer are gyrating female bodies). Teen-pop hearthrob Justin Bieber echoes their pleasure-seeking philosophy on the guest tip, announcing that he’s going to have a good time “no matter what” on the radio-ready chorus. Need more of the Far East Movement’s dancefloor/radio-ready freshness in your life? While Dirty Bass has yet to receive a drop date, fans will be able to digitally purchase this joint, along with a Party Rock remix by LMFAO‘s Redfoo, on February 28. Additionally, watch for an official video to premiere in the coming weeks.

People are going to hate this song by the time it has burned up the charts these next 3-4 months. If you aren't a fan of club, pop, or trendy mainstream music that is cool (hell, that is why DJBooth features so much great indie talent), but there is no denying that this has "smash" written all over it.

A bit too much pop for me, but I can see where it's going and who the audience is meant to be. This will be everywhere very soon...

I honestly knew I wasn't going to like this song by the people on it, but gave it a listen anyway. Yeah, this is too much for me.

typical radio song with a justin bieber feature. Yeah it'll be a smash, but I'd rather ignore it now before I start hearing it everywhere I go

Most people are gonna dislike this song because of the guest on it, but I don't like it because we got too many songs like this and it's not innovative at all.

Best song of 2012 so far, get your hands on it from Itunes now and beat the radio stations to it. Wasnt sure how it was going to worth with two opposite artists such as far east movement and justin bieber but it works well and is a SMASH.

Good concept but I don't think they delivered hard enough. I think Bieber did his thing but RedOne needs to make this jam bang more
