Please don’t be confused by the locomotive chuff-chuffs on the intro to Famoso’s new track Underground Railroad; he knows full well that the historical underground railroad had nothing to do with trains. Rather, he is alluding to the figurative train of history on which underground rap has traveled since the mid-‘80s, picking up dozens of legendary emcees along the way. The Brooklyn rapper spends his three verses fondly reminiscing about the past and name-dropping everyone from A.G. to Wu-Tang, creating a track that is not only a tribute to his calling but a fitting example of his craft. The ‘Engine Engine #9’ hook even sounds at home over Midas & Peoples’ mid-‘90s beat. Underground Railroad is featured on his new mixtape, Audio Dope.

WOW, you are really superficial. What's that about? Anyways, beat and track is pretty good. "Harriet Tubman style"? Don't know about that. But dude is east coast fresh, but nothing that really gets me super excited.

I have a theory about our girl wow. I think she is planted here, by the booth to bring balance to the music. She hates most good music and loves all the wack shit. For the longest I just thought ok this girl just likes stuff I don't feel and just left it at that, but as time has passed the music she likes has gotten worse and worse. Is it possible for someone to be this passionate about bad music, and equally passionate about disliking the good music. Everyone picks on her about her taste and I've kept quiet cause I at times like stuff most don't like either. However after pondering the situation long enough, I've cometo the conclusion that Wow is in fact planted here by the booth to bring balance to the music!!!! =) (Just in case no one saw me post this yesterday on the Hustleman song)

hahahahahahahahaha @ WOW:) but we don't have to care if he's fat, it means he likes to eat ;) what we have to care about is his musical skills...well I don't know him and don't know if he did good songs, what's sure is that I don't like this! It's boring and even the beat is weak

BDF44...i don't mean 2 spoil ur theory of me being planted here by the booth (LOL)...but i'm not. I'm just a regular girl, living life, here to enjoy the music that i like...i am not planted here- haha:p. NOW for hiz weight: okay seriously i said he needs to lose a "lil weight" because...well look at him...i'm noy trying to be mean at all....but it's just really unhealthy. Unhealthy is what i ment in the first place- if he want to live a long life where he can make music that he likes- he'll lose weight....i am NOT superficial at all...really- i'm not....everybody is equal in my eyes- i don't judge. NOW, i hope everything is cleared up =)

damn, this was a lot better than i thought it would be. People who dont like this song are mainstream listeners and cant handle intelligent rhymes.

i also think i understand why mainstream folk are quick to diss underground and intelligent rhymes like this song. Im sure 90 % of of the people that listened to this song didnt like it because they had no idea what he was talking about. mainstreamers know very little about older hip hop and underground stuff like prince paul, premo, mf doom (that mm food line was nice) and the other people he talks about in the song. maintream people only care about the image of the rapper, an unoriginal synth beat, simple weak rhymes, and a stupid ass chorus chant. people need to realize true hip hop isnt about an image or a playful beat. true hip hop is about the lyrics. Intelligent and creative lyrics, not dumb shit. Id rather listen to this song 16 times than any song off waynes album which everybody thinks is so good. theres some knowledge for all you people who helped turn my love of hip hop into this dumbed down shit we have now.
