When a group has one standout member, he or she is usually the one who ends up leaving to go solo (see R. Prophet of Nappy Roots, Pleasure P of Pretty Ricky, Diamond of Crime Mob, and Casha of Candy Hill for examples). In the case of former foursome Cherish, twins Fallon & Felisha King have parted ways with the group and are currently working on their currently-untitled duo album. On the first single, the much-improved songwriting skill first glimpsed on Cherish’s sophomore album, The Truth, is once again in evidence. Though the two were previously sworn bachelorettes and thus immune to “man-itis,” two fellas had what it took to get them Infected with true love. Topped off with synth-heavy production by Jnew (who also produced Cherish’s last single, Amnesia—this dude should go to medical school!), Infected should have no trouble developing into a musical epidemic.
