A common misconception about NYC hip-hop is that every rapper on the scene is signed to some kind of national deal. We in the Booth have, of course, debunked that popular assumption by shining the spotlight on such artists as K. Sparks, Pay$0z, and now Long Island’s Fallen Angelz. Currently, Haze, Manifest, and Four Fifth are preparing to make a bid for label attention with the release of their Motion Picture Show LP. On their first feature, the Angelz explain just how popular they’ve become: wherever they’re Showin Up, female fans will soon gather—if a lady’s sexy and independent enough, she can even join the trio’s street team! Shaun P. (not to be confused with the homonymic YoungBloodZ alum) makes the invite all the sweeter with his hook, and Mario Garcia (aka Mars Beats) tops the track off with a quintessentially Northeastern string-horn beat. With the accolades this cut will likely garner in the Booth, readers can expect this trio to be Showin Up a few more times before their Motion Picture Show premieres in the fourth quarter.

Nice introduction to the Booth for the FA. They sound real comfortable over this Mario Garcia and are assisted tremendously by the hook singer. In rotation.

It seemed like they rode the beat on this one, offering solid but not great lyrics. The hook was nice and the production was the high-point in my opinion.
