Ever since he first hit the scene, Fabolous has maintained a masterful balance between street-oriented jams (see Can’t Deny It, Young’n, Breathe, and Diamonds) and rap ballads (see Can’t Let You Go, Into You, Make Me Better, Baby Don’t Go), keeping the two styles largely separate—until now. On the first single off his upcoming fifth album, Loso’s Way, Fabolous admits that when he goes shopping, he doesn’t look at price tags; if he sees something he wants to buy, he’s just going to Throw It In The Bag. His girl is, of course, welcome to come along and help him spend those stacks—recession be damned! Since The-Dream‘s his Def Jam labelmate, he likely offered up the guest hook (and Tricky Stewart‘s instrumental) for a bargain. Even so, the hit potential that Throw It In The Bag brings to the table is worth every penny! Hopefully, fans be willing to spend a few bucks on Loso’s Way when it drops this summer.

I had high hopes for this one, and they were almost met. Dream's opening verse was a little too boring to start the song off for me, but Fab snapped off once he came in. The production is worthy of a heavy springtime rotation, and the whole track was really good. Easy choice for a first single.

Not bad. The production is solid and the hook is decent. I am starting to like The-Dream more and more. Fabolous flows nice enough on here. 3.5, not quite a banger.

at first i thought the beat needed work, but after listening to the whole song, the beat fits the song very well because it compliments Loso's sick flow which is wat really needs to be noticed on here.

[Z would like to know why Fab doesn't get more credit for being a thoughtful, witty, and rather enjoyable emcee] Answers???

i have no clue Z, Fab flows sick on r&b jamz and hip hop jamz, he also has some of the catchiest guest verses too. His flow can make bout any song a hit. He is def on my top 5 fav all time hip hop artists. I didnt give any answers to ur question but i sure would like to hear some answers as well...

@ DJ Z: Hard to answer but it MIGHT be that the tracks he's known for most (by the consumer public) are mostly ones aimed at the ladies. So for someone who only hears Fab through the radio he might come across as being similar to someone like Plies (but WAAAAYYY better lyrically)-----------------------
As for this song...ehhhhhh... I expected more from this collabo. Kinda boring. |

@ Z - I think he dosnt get the credit he deserves because he openly targets the female audience (which is fair enough considering they buy the singles), so he's considered a pop rapper or whatever you want to call it.
As for this song, I though this was pretty solid & will definitely be getting plays on my ipod. The-Dream was solid with the hook & on the opening, while Fabolous never disappoints with the mic. The production is missing something, though I still think that this is probably the best track to be on the booth in 2 weeks. These two would definitely have to be considering doing a collaboration album soon |

Yo! joshL, DANG. you took the words rite out of my screen ... on the first listen the prod. just isn't appealin enough to grab your initial attention.... but after a few forced listens .. hahaha .. yup it fits the song very well & compliments Loso's sick flow ... I will admit dat i have a certain liking for Loso (no homo) ... so i will throw in 4* ... Beat is good but could be more appealing...

damn... fab is one of the few rappers that stays consistent with the hits. Mix him up with dream and its gonna be hot. Its a simple beat from tricky but its catchy as hell and dream nailed it as usual.

I liked this beat better when it was called Nelly - Body On Me. As for Fab I hate this style...go back to Breathe where you spit hard n stuff. But I'm not gonna rate it low because it isn't what I want. He achieves what he set out to.

they keep brainwashing people that The-Dream is the shit and keep stuffing every god damn album with Tricky Stewart tracks. waaaay too predictable. I am sure Fab can choose from a pot with way hotter material/beats.

@ Z because for some people he is a very forgettable rapper, He is also not that frequent with his music (partly because he works on perfecting his Gems). It's as if he is appealing to a small audience of Women and SOME men. Anyway this song holds the template of 'Body on me' (Which is probably aimed at the ladies). It's a very catchy song. The Dream does his usual and KABOOM! we have a banger

Good enough for rotation but not that much... kinda generic like y'all mentioned. Nothing wrong with this one, it just could be better (production and vocals)
@Z: his almost always the same laid back flow! It's like you wouldn't expect him to work hard on the lines... |

Even though the subject matter is cliche and Fab has a kinda corny flow, this track is undeniably catchy. I can see a lot of ppl gettin into this. I've always thought Fab was a really witty rapper, but moreso on some songs than others. Def rotation worthy.
