Though Throw It In The Bag has all the makings of a pop hit (it’s already reached #1 on our Rap Chart), Fabolous has wisely decided to cater to his street fanbase by making the other half of his dual lead single something a little more hardcore. Over a bass-heavy “pump ‘em up” beat by The Runners (who’ve been making a lot of those lately), Loso declares that, now that he’s reached the senior album stage, “It’s My Time;” that is, he’s ready to take his place as one of the best rappers ever, dead or alive. The arguable highlight, though, comes courtesy of the latest Def Jam signee to get “on the hook;” that’s right, Mr. Birthday Sex himself (who’s sitting at #1 on this week’s Top Picks Chart) steals the show with a sweeping hook. As the baseball season gets underway (and the basketball and hockey playoffs continue), stadium/arena DJs should take a listen to It’s My Time—it’s not hard to imagine Kobe and LeBron getting pumped up to this record before their (likely) meeting at the NBA Finals.

the prod by Runners is bangin good, however its nothing we all haven't heard before ... & Loso provides some of his signature catchy yet clever rhymes... Jeremih provides gud vocals throughout the song ... but this cut doesn't blow me away... maybe bcos of its played-out topic, idk ... This song probably will grow on me tho cause its def not bad... so imma go ahead & call dis a BANGER!!!

Yeah this is a great anthem to get pumped up to before a game. Fabolous's verses are on point and the production by The Runners sounds dope! Jeremih creates the anthem vibe even more with a smooth hook. This song is banging!

Damn this is sick! I loved everything about this song. The production fit the song perfectly. Jeremih was tight on the hook and his verse and Fab brought some heat. Nothing less than a banger.

good track, good to hear 'loso getting back into it. He doesn't disappoint, and the beat is good. Agree with the sentiments that it could be a good pump up song, hope it's another hit for 'loso. Jeremih does alright, not sure how i feel yet, not bad on the bridge though.

The hook was decent, though Fabolous & the production by The Runners were sick. This is a much better track then Throw It In The Bag, though they are two songs that target two completely different audiences.

i agree w/everything "Mr. Top Hat" said. i would also like to add that i am somewhat dissapointed though so far in Loso's 2 singles. he has put out many songs wayyyyy better than this and there is no reason he shouldnt be puttin out better jamz than this.

Production is GREAT (I can't tell you how excited I get when I hear that sound trademark like an idiophonic "Aaah!" indicating it's The RUNNERS!), tha percussion is crazy!
Loso finally sounds LIVELY, so add his usual lyricism and it's a rap! So good to hear someone else do the hook and not the usual robots.. uhm, I mean, suspects. -.-' (now waits for the jab from Mr. Top Hat... :p) |

Loso came hard right here, as well at that production! Way better than the other single, this one knocks.
Fabolous needs a different audience with this album though, he's either crankin out these hard street bangers or makin music for the ladies. I wanna see him take it back to the clubs like he did with "Holla Back Young'n" |

I just gave my two cents on "in the bag" before I decided to listen to this...and I'm happy I saved the best for last. This street single is a 2009 lavarock. I'm floored. Runners production is near classic status. Fab sounds perfect on the heavy drums. And give Fab and Def Jam some credit for Jerimih some time to shine and shine hard and not having to get You-know-who and You-know-who #2 on the hook...keeping it Def Jam. This lets me know that Fab hasn't gone soft(ish) - the last single worried me. Roll out the red carpet and let Loso through...I'll be copping the album for sure. I think DJ Clue (Desert Storm!!!) is also thanking Fab as well... |

I'm a big Fab fan, so I may be a bit biased here.
First off, the production is great! That being said, Fab really delivers with energy on this track, and I can see this being an easy hit. Fab's lyrics were on par and I can't wait for Loso's Way to drop! |

The track was pretty cool, worthy of a few more listens and possibly being a hit on the radio. Jeremih was pretty OK, good to hear a different hook singer but nothing to different about his performance. Fabolous was his usual self with a nice flow and some OK wordplay. He will never, however, be considered on of the greats. Too much talent above him.
