Fabo may consider himself the Snap King, but he’s willing to slow down his style every once in a while. On a newly-released record off his forthcoming solo debut, Fabo is So High that he’s transformed into his slightly more sedate alter ego, 2Dolla. The highlight here is definitely Bobby V, who sets the mood with his hook and background vocals and calls on Blu Kolla Dreams in-house producer Big Fruit (who produced the singer’s current hit single, Beep) to fashion a beat sure to get I’m So High heavy club rotation. While The Picasso of Rap has yet to receive a release date, Bobby V’s third album, Rebirth, will be available in stores and online this coming Tuesday, February 10th.

Aside from the cheesy claps, the production is pretty smooth. Bobby V's vocals are pretty good. Fabo is not appealing to the ears. I'm sorry. LOL. It's laughable. It wasn't bad though. I'm finna go listen to S-Beezy now....hahaha!

I like the production, but like M.H. I could do without the hand-claps. Fabo's flow cadence, like many other BAD dirty south rappers (I'm not saying all of them are like this,)is choppy, unoriginal, and boring. I like Bobby V. most on the bridge/last verse, but the hook was OK. The hook lacked substance, though.

This song is a real good look for producer Big Fruit. After his work on "Beep", however, he might want to think twice about lending his talents to just anyone (sorry, Fabo). Honestly, though, it was probably a package deal with Bobby.
Not bad... but not great.

Fabo's energy is kinda down compared to what I'm used to hearing from him. He almost sounds like an old man trying to talk and catch his breath.
Bobby V. sounds good, as usual. The production is also decent - but not the best, however definately not the worst. The content is so simply young and imature like a 3rd grader wrote the lyrics. Fabo displayed no real talent w/ his flow to me either. The beat is catchy and if it weren't for Bobby V, this would be total garbage. And I like Fabo. Oh well, what can you do> |
