Remember how, in his December dual interview with ex-Shady emcee Obie Trice, producer MoSS mentioned that he and fellow North-of-the-border buzzmaker Eternia would be teaming up for a collaborative LP, the first single off which would feature Joell Ortiz? If so, your memory is so good, it’s scary. For the rest, well, he did say that, and this is the track he was talking about. It’s Funny finds the beatsmith serving up a hard-hitting, guitar-organ instrumental as Eternia tackles the “female rapper” issue head-on, demolishing stereotypes with righteous fury: “Your b*tch ain’t as nice as me, ‘cause I ain’t a b*tch; I’m that grown woman that b*tches aspire to be.” While Ortiz doesn’t match the headliner’s pure aggression, the Slaughterhouse emcee’s intricately-rhymed middle bars should leave few unimpressed. Digging Eternia and MoSS’ high-impact brand of retro-informed freshness? Then be sure to mark your calendars for the release of At Last, which hits stores April 6
this June, via indie label Fat Beats.

the booth gone go crazy tonight haha...she sound like mc lyte to me...and she kiling a lot of dudes out here damn...i would love to see her and nikki battle lol...i just want to see the barbies plastic melt cause she screwing up the world with all these damn barbies...does anybody else feel me haha?!!>> probally not but w.e. i don't care this girl is not bad and joell ortiz was cool too...good street single...but its nothing special...but i like her a lot...i wanna hear more...med rotation dang that beat is pretty nice

@ Kidd, You not the only one who dosen't like Nikki lol.
She sounds like an east coast version of The Lady of Rage because of her tough voice and those hard hitting rhymes she spits. Joell seemed out of place, but he was still good and I would of prefered Eternia solo. Maybe a different type of record with the two of them. The beat sounded kind of west coast which was a great contrast to her and Joell. Overrall, a great street record for anyone wanting to hear a fresh new female rapper. |

I could count on one hand the female rappers I enjoy and respect at the same time. Eternia is one of those five. She is as real as it gets, is always about the music (not the image - though she is very pretty), and makes quality hip hop. Hell, there are at least 10 male rappers we know who couldn't come as hard as she did on this record. Am I right?

i dont think ive heard a femcee come harder than eternia did on this one, completely blew me away! a lot better than nikki i must say. joell did sound a little out of place as hoamboy mentioned but still, damn good!
