Set to drop Sept. 22, the soundtrack to Lebron James documentary More Than A Game (out Oct. 2) will find Geffen/Interscope Records showcasing their urban music lineup. With the follow-up to the project’s lead single, Mary J. Blige‘s Stronger, the ‘Scope introduce listeners to the newest member of Polow Da Don‘s Zone 4 Inc roster, singer/songwriter Ester Dean. As Dean explains just how much the fellas at the spot like to watch her Drop It Low, Polow delivers a dancefloor-scorching synth instrumental. This track’s hands-down highlight, however, is the re-introduction of Chris Brown, who gives the male perspective on the headliner’s smooth moves (Do I even need to explain why he’s abandoned his former clean-cut swag?). Drop It Low may have a love-it-or-hate-it sound, but the Booth’s resident club-heads are sure to appreciate what this up-and-coming talent brings to the table.

i heard this a cpl days ago. its hot i mean. get over it lol.
i actually heard this on the radio today.. and i live in TOLEDO ohio. which means this song must be kinda old for it to be on our radio station.. this is a song where the autotune FITS and doesnt take from the quality of the song. CB didnt do too bad either. |

I'm feelin this, This production is SICK, I like the clean cut sound from CB better, I think he does AMAZING on sincere sounding songs, but just plain annoying on "Swag" type songs.

I really got into this once the beat dropped. Polow's beat really had some energy, and Ester sounded good. Chris was pretty good too. This is one of those songs that is really carried by the beat though. It's real good to see CB gettin back in the studio though. 3.5 for this.

When we received the original version of this record (w/o Chris Brown), we decided against a feature. Things changed, however, when this remix popped up in our inbox. Same production, but Brown's influence makes this version highly enjoyable in a club setting.

Agree with @DJ Z and @Big-A ....
Not for me but has mainstream capability. There are certain parts I like more (CB) and then there are parts which are barely bearable (Ester and hook) ... Rotation for Breezy (gonna be one dope! dance video) and Polow's trunk-rattling beat. |
