When singer/songwriter Ester Dean released the remix to her booty-shaking Drop It Low, complete with contributions from Chris Brown, the response was so positive that her label decided to make it the “original” version, allowing them to bring on Lil Wayne for a “remix,” which in reality is a “re-remix.” Confused? Don’t worry, all you really need to know is that the original’s catchy as hell, Booth acclaimed beat by Polow da Don is intact, along with Dean’s hypnotic hook and Brown’s grown man lyrics, which he of course delivers with near-falsetto vocals. The only real change here is Wayne, who spits a hilarious flow - a Seabiscuit reference? Really? - that sounds at times like he’s almost asleep, or more likely just incredibly high. Drop It Low is off Ester’s untitled debut album, whose currently unscheduled release date will no doubt be influenced by the Booth’s response. Use your influence wisely people, and of course keep it locked right here for any re-re-remixes.

After tha carter 3 i would have considered lil wayne in me top five ten favorite rappers he slowly becoming very annoying in my opinion. other than that it was one of my favorite songs on more than a game soundtrack so a banger drops to in rotation with lil wayne

I disagree with Dj Freestyle. I've disliked Wayne on almost every song since Drought Is Over 4, but he's been impressing me lately (I'm not talking about No Ceilings. Wayyy over rated) Chris Brown was good. I'm glad he's back.

Lil Wayne has saturated the entire market and sooner rather than later there will be some consequences.
I like the original better, but this isn't bad.... Wayne- go on vacation for like 12 solid months and you will extend your life in music substantially. |

It's still Rotation-Stuff. After getting familiar with "The Carter Documentary", consistency is the last thing I expect from Weezy's 16 bars.

Thank god they replaced Ester's awful auto-tuned rambling with Wayne's freestyle.
Also glad they kept Chris Breezy on here; love him on this track! Beat by Polow is sick as usual. |

I felt as if I was listening to the female version of Ron Browz here Ima have to hear some really really impressive ish from Ester for her not to fall by the wayside. Wayne killed it C. Breezy did his thang; I'm really finding myself whole-heartedly agreen with Mr. S this song is definitely a guilty pleasure. I mean I wanna dislike it but I just can't and its infectious once it drops.
