Since Estelle signed a joint deal with John Legend‘s Homeschool Records and Kardinal Offishall’s Black Jays International (via Atlantic), she has put in countless hours of work until she’s sure her worldwide major debut will Shine.  Following the struggles of Wait A Minute, the West London native found her biggest success to date thanks to a certain American Boy named Kanye West (currently #1 on the UK charts).  Giving the world one last sampler before the album drops; Estelle showcases her singing and rapping skills, demonstrating how her determination has helped her rise to the top.  Albeit in an untraditional sound, A-list producer Swizz Beatz adds some luster to the debut’s title track; Shine is currently available in the UK and will be stateside on April 29.

I'm not exactly blown away by her rapping, but her is pretty top notch. But if anything, the beat is amazingly hot! Credit is definitely due to swizz beatz for putting together a good sounding track.

The beat is mad eclectic. Her flow and delivery with the accent is bomb! I'm digging it. I hope "the biggest midget in the game" hits this track for the remix!

Estelle is getting compared to Lauryn Hill and that is simply not fair. A) Hill is the best at what Estelle is trying to currently do. B) Her sound is a fresh breathe of air in an industry who needs some females to step their game up. Swizzy's production is solid, I wonder if he will go this route more? I need to ask him.

I would say more like Fergie than Lauren Hill. I don't know if she is remotely close to L-boogie's vocals. Not to take anything away from Estelle, she has a distinct voice, and that will take her very far.

The beat is cool but I'm not crazy for female rap...in my opinion it's something that men can do at best! It's in rotation

This track is so good. this girl is so talented, she might not be lauryn hill but shes better than 90% of the guys featured. Hot production and a hot hook. shes the best female rapper in the game. if you dont beleive me listen to her song 1980 and talk to me after that.

Real_Bozz_Lady I don't agree at all...I know a German rapper who's as great as American ones! He's German/Ethiopian, he's called Raptile ad he absolutely bangs! Look for "Make Ya'll Bounce" (feat Xzibit), "Da Unbeatables", "Fallin From Heaven", "My Eberything", "Neva Eva", "Missin Your Kisses", "Fight Back" and then tell me ;)

Estelle is very talented! I like her singing and raping, she doesn’t try to be “da baddest”, she’s just genuine! The production is a bit overpowering on the chorus, but overall it’s very enjoyable! I have high expectations for Estelle’s album! 3*
