After having not released a studio album since 2003’s Worldwide Underground, neo-soul legend Erykah Badu is planning to release three albums over a twelve month-period. The first of the three will be titled The Kabah and features the new single, Honey. Over a smooth beat from 9th Wonder, Ms. Badu puts on display her powerful vocal skill by describing her experience while falling in love. Expect similar slow jams that center on relationship relaxation, and not stress, when The Kabah hits stores shelves on February 26th.
yeah she aint been in the studio cause she had her second child mid 2004 and the proud farther was none other than the hip hop pioneer THE DOC anyone who can do colabs with D'angelo and bob marley can have my respect. Badu's lyrics are highly personal philosophies, and lends her voice nicely to hip hop>>>> and 3 albums in 12 months props..
I love the production from 9th Wonder, shows his diversity. Many artists could release 3 albums a year; they don't have enough quality material to do so though...
I think every black man should have a down a$$ chick like Erykah by your side, she seems like the kinda chick that would throw a punch for a brotha lol!
anyhow I still love her voice 6.8-10
Badu & 9th...creations a perfect combination...both don't stray too much from what we're used to & yet it's tha most refreshing thing out right now...luv it!
