Eric Turner - Angels & Stars
Artist: Eric Turner
Featuring: Lupe Fiasco , Tinie Tempah
Producer: Ishi
Album: TBD (Promo Single)
Label: Capitol Records
2012, meet Angels & Stars, the first stadium anthem of the year, courtesy of teacher-turned-singer Eric Turner. Featuring banging production from Swedish maestro iSHi and golden bars from Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempah, Angels & Stars reminds us exactly what it means to make a grand entrance. Soaring vocals from Turner, along with lush instrumentation, immerses the listener in serene visuals of the celestial figures that comprise the song’s title, while pounding drums slowly increase your heart rate and get your adrenal glands all worked up. Though A&S leaked to the net several weeks ago, the official single version is now available on iTunes and will be featured on Turner’s solo debut, which is currently still in production. As we await more material from the EMI recording artist, why not download his labelmate’s Happy Birthday EP?

Today, I will use each song title in my feedback. Cool, huh?
Not sure this is an anthem that the "Angels and Stars" rock on repeat, but its quite unexpected to say the least. I wonder if all of Turner's music will feature rappers? |

This is some of my favorite type of music right here. Turner's vocals were right on, as usual. Lupe and Tinie were absolute fire, also nothing new. This will be a lasting banger!

This wasn't a bad listen, but nothing that I would have on repeat.

I like the singing in the chorus... Didn't like Lupe or Eric Turner's flow over this beat for some reason. I am a Lupe fan, but this was somewhat a letdown for me. Just OK.

Not bad. I could see it getting old though.
Maybe just a little too much sweeping (slightly generic) emotion. I'd probably rather just listen to either music from Lupe by himself or U2. |

I could listen to it once and that was enough.

It's maybe too similar to his previous work, but it is good for rotation.

Not crazy about this but I like the contrast from these three. I hope they work together on some more stuff

I love Tinie and Lupe's parts, but the chorus and the beat is a little to similar to Tinie's "Written In The Stars"...
