Eminem - We Made You
Artist: Eminem
Producer: Dr. Dre
Album: Relapse
Label: Shady/Aftermath/Interscope
“Guess who’s back, back again,”—you know the rest! Having stirred fan anticipation to a fever pitch with hit buzz single Crack A Bottle, Eminem steps back into the shoes of his troublemaking alter-ego, Slim Shady, for Relapse‘s official first single. In the tradition of celebrity-bashing lead singles My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me, and Just Lose It, We Made You sees Slim taking aim at Kim Kardashian, Ellen DeGeneres, Sarah Palin, Jessica Alba, and Amy Winehouse, to name a few (for the full experience, check out the official music video). As Em proves he’s still got his finger on the pulse of popular culture, an uncredited Jessica Simpson impersonator’s hook and Dr. Dre‘s lounge-flavored boardwork take the cut’s catchiness to the next level—needless to say, WMY is poised to take radio, MTV, and the charts (Booth and Billboard alike) by storm, and pave the way for Relapse‘s arrival on May 19th.

I can't hate this, but I know millions will. This is just Em's way of kicking things off, and I believe it's perfect.
I WILL say I dislike the accent. That and this > Crack A Bottle. 3.5/5 |

I am very excited to see the response this one gets. I cannot deny that I am pro-Em (always have been). It's just damn good to have him back. This follows his classic formula and its better than "Just Lose It" and "Without Me."
I am going to try my hardest to get Em inside the Booth for an interview... we'll see. |

Cool track right here. Definitely created for the clubs. This isn't the best song I have heard from him, but I guarantee it will be stuck in my head and I will have it on repeat for a while. Dre's production was tight. Banger.

To me this is better that anything I've heard from him since his leave of absence. This is just classic Em. I do think that the singing is a little corney but the beat from dre and the breathtaking lyrics make up for it. I highly recommend you all go out and watch the video for this....it's hilarious.

I used to hate Eminem with a passion, but I have come to see his genious. His quirky attitude mixed wit his flow and lyricism are just Em-one of a kind. This is not quite what I'd expect from a first single, but maybe it'll be one of those that grows on me and ends up blowin up. Classic goofy side of Em.

This brings memories back from the classic em that everyone knows..he sounds somewhat different but overall it feels like he is just letting us skim the surface of what he is about to unleash with his new album.

I have a feeling a lot of people are going to take this one too seriously being a comeback-single and all. I personally love it; although the Triumph the Insult Comic dog voice is really unnecessary and slightly annoying. Aside from that, solid on all counts and a definite chart-topper. Welcome back Em.

crack lyricism amongst the absolute retarded lyrics. I like the song, alot, but I'm dying for some serious Eminem. This didn't satisfy, but is still good hip-hop

I am telling you all right now- if you aren't feeling this song completely right now, it will grow on you fast! This is a huge comeback record, just like Z said following his same formula. Mad catchy right here, easy 4 star. And the video is even funnier!

Im just not feeling the production & the message of Em's lyrics on this, especially considering this is the lead single. Its a solid album track, but It's disappointing considering its the lead single of the biggest artist in hip hop.

This song is absolute trash as are most of his songs that attempt to be funny or quirky or whatever you want to call it. I don't care if this is how he always goes about things as he is about to release an album.. the rating is for the song and hopefully not the entire album... trash.

Production by Dre is catchy as ever, chorus is very catchy and I like Eminem trying to sing along lol. Verses were terrific with the fast paced flow and accent. People anticipated a serious single for a comeback, but Eminem was smart to follow his formula and choose a radio single to create buzz. SHADYS BACK!

I understand that this is the Formula. Em always drops the comical first single. I actually think it is the label's formula, not Em's himself.
I will have to say that out of all the first singles he's dropped with this idea (My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me, Just Lose It), this one is my least favorite. I'm looking forward to hearing this album's version of "The Way I Am" (That's just simply a metaphor for the usual second single that is more serious and epic). But don't get it twisted. Eminem is still the best rapper alive in my book. I just don't want to be disappointed by this album. |

The first time I heard this song I could tell there was something about it that I liked, but couldn't put my finger on it. You know this song is going to be all over the place so I figured I would listen to it a few times through before making my judgement, and my original opinion stays... the hook is ridiculous. This chorus stays in your head all day. It goes perfectly with Dre's bouncy beat. There is no doubt this will stick with many listeners.
My issue with the song is in Em himself. I really cannot stand this 'accent' thing he does. I like the song a lot better towards the end when it isnt as noticeable. The funny thing about not liking the accent is how hard it is to imagine the song without it. The lyrics are alright for a radio song. |

What the hell? This crack is cold. Ain't feeling this I was waiting for a REAL DRE song with a good beat and not a freakin joke.
Don't think this will grow on me because I won't listen to it again lol. Hell Roll The Windows Up grew on me more than this. |

He's back all right ! good verses and the production is sick. although why does jessica simpson sing the chorus ? she doesn't suit it (to me) but it could of been better and the chorus was all right. 3 stars from me gee cause im a tree.

In rotation... just because it's Eminem!
Yes, I'm biased, but at the same time I completely understand why someone wouldn't like this song, but being disappointed?!? Only if you don't know Eminem at all: this is exactly what is expected. Except the song could be better in the goofy genre, which doesn't have to be bad. I'm with Michael Hannah all the way, my least favorite. But if Em is still the same, with the crazy flow and lyrics, what changed? I blame the beat and overall sound. It doesn't move me at all. |

Yo, Kayleb101, you got that right! As soon as Em gets back in the game, get ready to say bye-bye to the Wayne hype! Don't get me wrong, Weezy's my boy, but he got NOTHIN on Em. Wait a year. You'll be havin people sayin "Wayne who?" As for this song in particular, I'm gonna call it Classic. Production from Dre is fresh, and Em just kills it, as always. Fire. Straight fire. The best rapper alive is back in the game, ladies and gentlemen. Fasten your seat belts.
