As those with their ears glued to the Internet grapevine may already be aware, Eminem and Royce Da 5’9” are Living Proof. Proof of… what, exactly? Well, you can take your pick: proof that Motown is a breeding ground for dope emcees, proof that artistic chemistry trumps pointless beef, proof that hard-hitting street music is alive and well… In any case, this unreleased joint, leaked to the ‘net earlier this week but presented here in its final, tagless form, is proof that prior collaborations Bad Meets Evil and Session One (with Slaughterhouse) weren’t flukes. Here, a currently-unknown beatsmith’s hard-nosed bass-string arrangement sets the stage for the Detroit representatives’ lyrically bruising back-and-forth. Shady’s rhymes are even more aggressive, and provocative than usual, and Royce’s unhinged imagery (“You might as well have cut the embryo out of my mama and played catch with the baby with AKs, with baby bayonets.”) is no less jaw-dropping. Who comes out ahead? It would take hours for me to decide, so I’ll let y’all do the honors – or, if you prefer, just sit back and bask in the dopeness.

Em and Royce could read a book on tape and I'd probably give them a 4-star rating. We tried to get more information from Royce's people on this record, but rest assured all you need to know is that its good stuff. Period.

Not the best ive seen Em, but he still comes pretty hard. His flow has changed though. Not saying its a bad thing at all though, he can speed it up quite a bit.
Royce continues to impress. 4/5 but I'm going 5...because I'm a fellow Michiganian. |

This track definitely goes hard. Royce like always killed but its apparent that Em's flow has changed. He still goes hard but Royce definitely took him on this one. Overall excellent track.

Two of the best on one song with some dope production. Eminem trumps Royce by a slim margin but you cant go wrong with either one trading verses with each other.

These two have actually been doing alot of collabing recently. Just heard "Echo" today, another new one by the two and it was fire. "Echo" has this one beat but not by much. Keep it coming.

This is straight FIRE. It goes so hard. Both of them did work. Royce did really great in this. Eminem murdered it. No doubt.

I havn't been feelin Em so much since he got sober but this is better. Royce kills it. If it ever happens, a Slaughterhouse feat. Em tape will be pretty hard to beat. Em and Budden trading verses, hell yes.

Stop this back and forth of who killed who... Fans play a big part in the start of beef... just njoy the music cause this is what we been waiting for real hip hop not this lovey dovey flowery drake and the drakettes music (#nothating) that we been hearing for the past 2years...
