Eminem is finally back… with a new book. Next Tuesday, he will release his brand new autobiography, entitled The Way I Am. According to a product description, the Detroit rapper will “share his private thoughts on everything from his inner struggles, to the trials of being famous, [and] the love for his daughter, Hailie.” While the majority of Em loyalists are probably thrilled that their favorite emcee is back in the spotlight, they’d be a lot more excited if it was because of new music. Thus, in honor of next week’s book drop, Eminem whipped up a freestyle, entitled I’m Having A Relapse, which he premiered last evening on his Shade 45 satellite radio station. With rumors flying around about the title of his long-awaited new album, the Vibe magazine “Greatest Rapper Alive” winner also announced that it will be called R3LAPSE; Slim Shady released his last full-length solo project, Encore, in 2004.

Z, OH MY GOD AM I EXCITED!!! I've seriously been waiting on Em's return for-f*cking-ever, since 04! This freestyle is soooo sick! Em is killing this beat, classic Shady track! This flow fits the production absolutely perfectly, there isn't another rapper that could tear this song apart as good as Slim Shady did. Just listen to the lyrics, the dude has still got it! It's time for Eminem to have a say in who the greatest in hip hop is...none of that collaboration or autotune type of tracks, this is straight memorable hip hop right here. This whole album is going to be the same way. This just got me way too excited to hear more from Em, he better put somthin else out soon.

always been a fan of EM - dood is more talented and interesting than any other rapper out there right now alive period. on top of all that - he's slim shady. anticipating his new shiet to be nothing short of CLASSIC 5 STAR rating. reason for the fivestars.

So Eminem is alive?! This song reflects his typical style...hearing this I guess he hasn't changed but who knows! I'm not a die hard fan of Eminem (like you WOW) but some of his songs are classics...this is decent but really repetitive, not for me! In rotation

Excited?!? 0_o Why would anyone be excited about Eminem's comeback, Z? He's just... THE BEST F*CKIN RAPPER ALIVE!!! YES, I'M EXCITED! The second I heard him "scratching" it was like a part of me resurrected! Nobody matches his unstoppable flow and all those rhymes in between are just crazy sounding! As for the less impressed, please rate/see it for what it is (Patty, WOW:), Dats Wats Up): it's a freestyle! For a freestyle, it's absolutely dope, try to imagine it as only a verse from a song... So, for a freestyle, it's 5*
PSA: Ok now kids, please don't you ever again put Plies's name in the same sentence as Eminem! That's not even funny... (ok, maybe it is, but not for Plies! lol) |

SHADY!!! FinallY! When I heard the rumors of the long-awaited shady return early this year, i was so excited! The months went by and forgot about it... then I saw this on a blog yesterday! He may have left for a while but he's back now and will take the crown from weezy. Kayleb, i tend to agree that a collab is likely and then we will see who is the best. Shadys proves that he still got that fire and murders this!

i havent ever liked Eminem, or really any of his many "classics" but i'm effing feeling this song!!
everyone is saying "it sounds just like em.. his old stuff" but i think it sounds new. he changes his accent up & everything. I would have lived without an eminem comeback, but i'm def glad he did. cant wait to hear the entire CD |

I'm excited as well to see Eminem back on the mic, but i don't find this track this exceptional. In his 'recording days' this track would have passed as a quality track on a album, but nothing more.

Great track; even better due to the fact it is a freestyle. I gotta agree with FedRico; Eminem's name should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Plies unless the sentence is "Plies is garbage compared to Eminem" or something along those line. The only person I put in Em's league is Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000, Ludacris and maybe Lil' Wayne (his old material was never good; it seems a bit suspicious to me how quickly he became a superstar. *cough* ghostwriter). Anyways, the freestyle is great and it really seems Eminem is back to form. I found Encore a bit disappointing but I'm hoping R3LAPSE will bring back my faith in one of my all time favorite lyricists.
