Eminem - Crack a Bottle
Artist: Eminem
Producer: Dr. Dre
Album: Relapse
Label: Shady/Aftermath/Interscope
After several years and numerous leaks, it is DJBooth.net’s great pleasure to finally present you with an official single from the one and only Eminem. Unlike the numerous unfinished versions floating around the Internet, this version has been distributed by Interscope and has been officially announced as the lead single off the long-awaited Relapse. Along with Shady, the rest of Aftermath‘s Big Three show up to Crack A Bottle open and show the world exactly why they got so big in the first place. After Em spits his trademark controversy-heavy lyrics, Dr. Dre brings a laid-back (though more grown than usual) verse, leading up to 50 Cent‘s verse, which is as melodically gritty as you would expect – over Dre’s beat… words can’t explain how awesome this is! After 50’s Before I Self Destruct is released in February and Em’s Relapse drops in March, the stage will be set for hip-hop’s most anticipated album of all time… that’s right: look out for Detox.

Finally the finished version! There;s really nothing too in depth to say about this track, except that Em and Dre GO HARD!!! 50 was on point too but defnitely the 3rd verse for a reason. The production isn't anything CLASSICAL but it is still a solid beat from Dre. Man I cannot wait for this album to drop! 4/5

I'm still waiting for Em to impress me like he did way back when, but this isn't bad...but it isn't what he used to be. His singing is a little much, and the lyrics are wack. Dre's beat is okay.

Great song. Not up to par with some of Em's older stuff but is certainly as better than the disaster that was Encore. Looking forward to Relapse

Ish is poppin' 50 cent was better than average, Dre did his thang and Em' wasn't nearly as raw as I expected but was still ill enough to keep this song playing...
ON a side note there seems to be some time sequence issue on this song cuz I had to play it for times before it actually played all the way through and then when it did; it only got bout half way on the timeline... |

i've been waitin, and waitin, and waitin for Em to come back and silence everyone who thinks Weezy is the best rapper alive. In this is what I get? Em's gonna have to come harder than this. Decent beat, good enough lyrics... sub-par I think. They can do better than this. A LOT better.

It's 2009.. can we please stop talking about The Carter III? Anyhow, great to hear Em back on the seat.. and stunning production from Dre. I really like Dre's verse.. although I'm pretty sure that Eminem actually wrote it. Can't wait for Relapse and the Detox!

Eh I've heard so much better from Eminem that I'm not really feelin this one. He raps alright in this one and so does Dre but Imma have to say 50 did the best. (I had to youtube this song-it wouldn't play all the way.) This is a 1.5.

Ok… this is definitely 2009 and I’m not impressed by this type of songs anymore when I got something like XV’s “Everything’s cool” on my Mp3.
The piano and percussion got old fast, that hi-hat throughout is boring, it’s like the song never takes off! Eminem needs to match his own greatness: even if not talking about serious issues, he gotta come smarter! I didn’t like how he ended almost every verse in the same tone! Like WOW:/, I liked 50 better on this one (surprisingly), flow speaking. But still I don’t mind his lyrics… PS: Happy New Year to the Booth community! |

I heard this joint earlier today. As much as I initially wanted to be super excited about it like it was totally awesome...I couldn't. Really, I still think that Eminem is the best rapper alive, but this isn't the classic Eminem I remember. Truthfully, I never liked the goofy Eminem. I Was more of a fan of the deep, serious stuff such as "Sing for the Moment" or "Cleaning Out My Closet", or "Lose Yourself", etc. Dre's production starts out pretty hot and is decent. Dre and 50 are decent, but I can only throw this in rotation. They have to come a little harder than this.

Are You Serious!!! EMINEM IS BACK!!!! I am so happy. It is the old Eminem. Dre Goes hard on the song like crazy can't wait for the album. 50 Cent is his usual self. The beat is BANANAS. One of the best songs they have featured on Dj Booth in a long time.

None of these artists did bad, but together something stronger is expected. I heard this yesterday, and both then, when the first version came out, and with this, I can't help but feel disappointed. The track serves the purpose though; a let-know that they're back.

Haha you know the best rapper alive is back... but doesn't mean he sucks all the way, I know he can do better but I been hearing that his new album is coming out as in wayyyy back in the day like he used to rap (in my opinion i don't like) most likely I'll get over it, in other words, I am expecting something more like The Eminem Show. But I still can't wait till his album drops!!! Still give this track a 5 cause of Eminem and Dre!

I don't get how some people question Eminem when he makes a song that isn't the style they like. It suddenly turns to "Oh Eminem is past it" "Eminem hasn't had a good verse in ages" Are you people on drugs ? Just because he raps in a different style doesn't mean you should rate him less in fact it should be giving you a reason to rate him MORE.
How many rappers can change their voice and flow and rap in comedic style saying things some people wouldn't have the balls to say and make a hit. Then go rap more seriously and touch peoples hearts with all the emotion he puts into his rap. Heck how many rappers can outdo Jay Z on his own song (See Renegade). Not many people will openly rap about their life and no one does it better than Em. I think peoples expectations of Eminem are WAY too high. You come expecting constant classics from him. No one is that good, Fark even 2Pac, Biggie and the so called best rapper alive Lil Wayne make some bad songs. Sure everyone has different opinions of Eminem but I don't see how anyone can say shit like "he hasnt had a good verse in 7 years" Have you heard "When I'm Gone" ? and the Passion and Emotion he raps with ? There are many other songs like that. So say what you want to say but Eminem is still THE best rapper alive. |

It's SOOOOOOOOOOOO good to hear Shady back on the mic. I was expecting more from the Three Headed Monster but i think once this song leaked they saw the attention it got and used it as a buzz single.
Please dont say that Em fell off: "Kiss my butt, lick FUMUNDA cheese from under my nuts." (Em the greatest!!) "It disgusts me to see the way the game the way that it looks, It's a must, i redeem my name and haterz get mushed." "Now picture us. Its ridiculous you curse at the thought" "If I could fit the words as picture perfect, works every time Every verse, every line, as simple as nursery rhymes" "Its elementary. The elephants have entered the room." (Line is sick!! if you understand it) "Not to mention back with a vengeance so hit the signal Of the bat symbol. The platinum Trio is back on you hoes." |

I'm a huge Eminem fan but I gotta say that "Crack a Bottle" is just okay. It's average enough to make the album. However, it's not classic, it has the sound of laid-back track to get some publicity. I can't see this song being the first radio single off Relapse. This type of song won't get much play on the radio. "Crack a Bottle" will be popular with Eminem fans, but realistically, this will never top the Billboard Charts, it probably won't even have the success of a song like "Just Lose It." Eminem needs to hit the radio with a high energy song by himself. This track is too low energy and lacks that catchy vibe in "The Way I Am" or "Real Slim Shady" or "Without Me" or "My Name Is." Basically, I'm not seeing hearing the Eminem I thought I would.

I don't know what it is about this track, but I just don't see it being an absolute banger. The beat isn't bad, the hook is mediocre and the verses are all solid from Dre, Em & Fif, but overall this is just a decent party joint. As a first single, it is actually pretty decent and nothing too amazing, which is why its a bit disappointing as Em's returning single. Its decent, just a little higher expectation for such high name artists that have been MIA for a while.
