The best thing about the holidays are unexpected gifts. Well, the holidays came early this year, as a particular collaboration between two artists almost a decade in the making is an unexpected gift beyond measure. Eminem & Royce Da 5’9” crafted Bad Meets Evil for Em’s major label debut eleven years ago, and now the two are reportedly working towards a brand new untitled collaborative effort. When fans heard Living Proof early last week, their ears couldn’t believe themselves. Now, we get the DJ Khalil produced Echo. It’s hard hitting chopped organs and a chorus sung by Liz Rodrigues (of The New Royales) rivals that of the Sirens from Odysseus. The chemistry the artists shared from over a decade ago is still prevalent as Royce and Marshall continue to trade competitive barbs to figure out who can top who. Royce sticks to his guns (literally) with toying couplets about desert eagles while Mr. Mathers proclaims his life is The Truman Show, if Truman was a dope rapper. Hopefully, fans will get to hear the final result of these leaks soon – a full project from these two would be a holiday miracle.

 I nearly spilled a glass of water across my Logitech keyboard when the e-mail popped up with this record attached to it. Eminem and Royce over Khalil? Yes, its everything you'd hope for it to be and more. Rodrigues' vocals are a perfect match, too.

WOW!! OH YEAH! I'm loving this. This is straight fire!! Eminem is a monster, well he has always been a monster. This is another reason for that. This record is great. I like "living proof" but I'm loving this. The production is awesome and the chores is wonderful. Eminem sounds amazing in this. And Royce was fantastic in this. Again. These 2 together equals instant greatness. This is a banger for sure. I can't wait to hear more from Eminem!

This song, no these songs, just recently released by Eminem have been the greatest things since the tragedy known as The Recovery. Beats are classics, and the various other authors performing with Eminem are on his level as well. Why this song is not 5 stars by everyone who call themselves rap/hip-hop fans is an enigma to me.

Oh i like this a lot, The whole song was just a flow. Eminem kool as ever, Royce Da 5'9" was hot in the song. The girl Liz was nice, her part instantly drew me to the song, that i want to hear more from her, and from the guy too!

I made a profile just comment on this track eff'ing speechless.
I thought the chorus was alright, then Royce kicks in spitting like he will die if he lets em come harder then he does. Made the chorus in the middle just a huge build up cuz i knew shady was up next then i hear, "I EAT RAPPERS!" Why/how could you give this anything less then 5 stars? |
