I don’t know how you could have listened to DJ Z’s interview with Emilio Rojas and not been impressed by the young emcee’s humor, intelligence, drive, and yes, confidence, but you have to admit, he always backs up his words with musical action. The latest example of the New Jersey native’s mic skills is the engrossing Piano Bounce, a softly banging cut produced by DJ Green Lantern that appropriately flips a piano riff into an underground anthem. Quality production aside, the real story here (as always) is Rojas’ versatile rhyme style, touching on everything from fashion to family struggles to the fight to reclaim his Latino roots, all with an admirably honest approach: “The city I’m from they got a rep for being coarse, so I done dealt with every real emotion but remorse.” If you’re digging Piano Bounce, and let’s be honest, you really should be, definitely check out Rojas’ upcoming mixtape, The Natural, set to drop soon.

Wow this dude can spit. Kinda goes off track a little but overall really high quality stuff. Board work is decent as well.

Some artists make it seem like it takes A LOT to spit... but not Rojas. His flow is seamless. Big fan of his delivery and cadence, too.

After Tic Toc, I'm always gonna check out Emilio Rojas. This dude is sick. "There ain't a question of who's next in line!" Very smart lyrics. And like I've been saying, Green Lanturn is putting out the best beats right now hands down.

Rojas has a dope mixture of swagger and intelligence, I'm feeling everything he's going lately, especially Piano Bounce. The Natural is going to be walnuts, can't wait for the drop.

Lyrics were great, production wasn't that amazing. I just didn't feel like this was the right kind of beat for him.

Emilio Rojas is quickly becomming one of my favorite underground rappers, but this production, to my ears does not agree with him. His verses are excellent and effortless as always, but i'm not taken by the production.

The beat does sort of got monotonous and repetitive after a while. As for lyrical content, ain't no complaints. I can dig it, not too often but once in a while. Rotation-Stuff.

I'm a DJ Green Lantern fan and once again he delivers but not with a bang. I'm getting use to Emilio Rojas and his arrogance but for the most part he has backed his talk up. He delivers great lines and his flow is polished.

This could go on forever... Rojas is my new fav rapper! "Tic toc" till he blows up!!! (What?! Fat Joe did it, why not him?)
Man... Wale, Joe Cole, Rojas... I love these new smart rappers.

Beat is repetitive, ok, but I see it as an "opening track", straightforward and banging.

Cosign Z and Nathan!
