On the real, I don’t see how anyone could have listened to our very own DJ Z’s recent interview of Emilio Rojas and not come away a fan. The man’s got a fierce intelligence, a good sense of humor, and oh yeah, he’s a hell of an MC too. Hey, when you’re this good it’s hard not to be Bold and Arrogant. The latest street single off DJ Green Lantern’s upcoming The Natural project, Bold and Arrogant is a sparse, electronic, bass pounding cut from producer M-Phazes that allows Emilio to put his swaggering side on full display, dropping lines like “I know what you feel just like a therapist, fresh pair of kicks, chicks that are very thick.” Is it still arrogant if it’s true? Be on the lookout for The Natural, dropping October 28, go cop Rojas’ Recession Proof mixtape, out now, and of course keep it locked to DJBooth.net for all the latest.

Oh snap! Emilio snapped on this joint, perfect underground club type of joint. Love the production work on here, with some creative and wavy flow! Hook was tight too. Great record.

D-D-D-Damn. The title of the track is the truth and Emilio backs up his swagger nicely. Look out, young world. Mr. Rojas is up next.

The horns and pounding bass driven beat that jabs with lefts & rights to your aural canal keeps it pumped! throughout and Emilio Rojas delivers a sick wordplay-packed underground braggadocio rhymes in an unpredictable flow sure to grab one's attention. It seemed a little over the place in some parts, but can't deny the hotness, the way Emilio rapped over it. BANGER!!!

"Ima control freak a guy who controls freaks"...hot line

The drums kinda bang but to have a looped vocal chorus and then horns is a little over the top

Ok, so we all agree that Rojas was the @*#$! on this, but have to disagree with my man D_Mac. Not a Green Lantern fan? What? He's way better than half the big time producers out there (Swizzy, KaySlay) and those horns are more of a calling card than anything. This track premiered on his radio show and he wanted to make sure that when it got ripped folks would know it was his.

Emilo's joints is hot homie! He has that old school 80's hip-hop feel right here! This is real hip-hop for all of the major labels that sign artist with 2 good songs on their album.
