As I am sure y’all know, release dates changes in the music business happen quite often. While disappointing, the occurrence is understandable. Every artist should desire the creation of perfect piece of work and if that requires a delayed drop date than so be it. However, when an artist provides no explanation to his or her eager fans, it can be very frustrating. With that said, Dr. Dre and Jay Electronica might want to take notes on ELMNT’s operation because although the artist/producer had to push back his Stara-Nova project, he is supplying his emotionally fragile fans with a free record to tide them over. On Sophisticated Ignorance (White Dress Dub) the Canadian emcee puts a refreshing spin on Kanye’s White Dress. Atop the slick, piano-heavy Ralph Lauren production, ELMNT showcases a crisp, refreshing flow that is highlighted by his ability to rattle off thick, wordy (in a good way) bars without feeling forced. While a new date for Stara-Nova has not been selected (or announced), be on the look out for another tune that will soon receive a visual treatment.
