You’ve got to admire an artist who can do his thing, regardless of the circumstances. As ELMNT tells it, mixtape lead single All Figured Out was written while the artist was “sitting in HighDEF headquarters… trying to piece together a joint,” while being repeatedly interrupted by a sh*tty DJ in the next room. And you certainly can’t argue with the results; supported by the sweet soul samples of Lyve (who also steps out from behind the boards to deliver a guest 16), the T-Dot emcee tackles the time-tested topics of love and money with a self-confident swagger that makes them feel fresh. Watch for Stara-Nova to arrive on the ‘net in the near future, followed by Dorian Grey, a street album created in collaboration with Juno Award-winning rapper Muneshine.
