The 228th entry in DJBooth.net and StreetAmmo‘s Exclusive Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Elite, the Connecticut native who earned reader acclaim for Sing My Song as well as assisting Jon Connor on Keep Your Head. On his brand new, exclusive Lock Down freestyle, the currently-unsigned emcee/producer flows over original boardwork by Voli. Elite is currently hard at work on a new street album – keep it locked for release details!
But wait, it gets doper. For 15% off on all of StreetAmmo’s fresh gear, visit streetammo.com and enter the exclusive code, “streetbooth”. We know, we know. You’re welcome.

Since Voli made such a great impression on our readers when he dropped his DJBooth.net Freestyle, he is back to assist Elite on his entry to our Series. Between the original production and the energetic, infectious rhymes from Elite, and the complete feel of the entry, I am apt to give this one high marks.

This should be 5 stars for a number of reasons.
a) Elite gave you guys an exclusive freestyle over an original beat b) It's a Voli beat c) Elite killed it d) "Every song that I drop - 5 stars//DJ Booth, this will be a nice start" |

Never heard of Elite and it's quite a shame, I know that I'm definitely anxious to hear his album when it drops. Top notch delivery over a hype sustaining beat. Killed it

He did as good as I expected. The Voli beat was a monster.

Damn. If there were any questions about whether Elite could really rhyme they were just answered.

Dam that beat in the beginning threw me off gaurd. That sh!t is fu*king tight. Then he goes in and fu*king wrecks this sh!t. Haha. Very good flow on the beat, with very solid lyrics on his verses. I love the energy this puts off. Makes you bang to it.

It's good, not sure if I expected too much after the Jon Connor track though? The beat is a monster for sure and (probably cause i've been listening to him all morning) I just wanted a Budden verse!
Def keen for more. |
