Electrik Red - We F*ck You
Artist: Electrik Red
Producer: Tricky Stewart & The-Dream
Album: Untitled Debut (2009)
Label: Radio Killa/Def Jam
Instead of wrapping their demo and shopping it to their major label contacts, R&B girl group Electrik Red sat and waited patiently for the right opportunity. Thankfully for members Naomi, Sarah, Lesley, and Binki, less than two years after readying the start of their career, a deal with Def Jam and the opportunity to work with the production/songwriting tandem of Tricky Stewart and The-Dream fell into their laps. Scheduled for release early next year, the ladies’ untitled debut will feature their initial buzz single, Drank in My Cup, as well as its newly-released follow-up, We F*ck You. Though the record – for obvious reasons – might have a hard time getting spins at radio (that is, without a radio-edited version and title change), it will surely get some attention in the clubs. So, does it grab yours?

Nice song title, we got some classy girls here LOL. I don't remember much from their first single except that it was really funky and different. This is pretty much the same exact feeling with this joint. I like the production, it's got a really futuristic type of feel. And the chorus, despite its tackiness, is full of swag from the ladies. I just hope I don't start hearing girls yelling this at me next time I'm in the clubs...

I love their style and swagg..
sexy, naughty, bad girls. I kinda like it! But I dunno about this song too much... They'll prolly change it to "We Screw You" for the radio... I dunno if that will even work. I really dont like this song at all though. |

What the @*#$! is swagg??? Either you can sing/rap/write or you can't. Since "swagger" took over in this music industry, I barely hear good music. This here is just trash man. That's music for teens who are easy to impress |

wow the reviews aint lookin too stable on this..(sips tea) hmmm...well this kinda turns me on in a futuristic wrapped in plastic type way but besides that..i mean sexual music really isnt something i'd like to play in my car. I have my wifey to help me pitch my tents..o wait we're talking about music.(sips tea and wipes sweat) um this isnt nothing spectacular just robotic intercourse music. "the thing u do with your tounge"..part haha what the hell...wall-e must get sprung on this

Big-A, calm yourself down first of all. Second of all, to speak on behalf of teenagers....which I am not too far removed from (Age 20), ALL teenagers aren't easily impressed. But one thing teenage life was about was having fun and having a good time. This song definitely sounds like something that would allow that to happen. Be real about it.
Now, if you want to talk about swag...it's always been around. It seems when something gets overplayed, people start to hate on it...but before the idea was "popular", no one was tripping. Granted a lot of artists are getting on from just "swag" and not much musical talent, swag cannot completely be eliminated. It's needed, ALONG WITH raw talent to create the ultimate package. Now that we got that out the way (sorry, the comment was just erking me), on to the song. It was straight. I liked the production. These girls are freaky. That's about all I can say. Sad thing is...I can only give this a 2. |

Mr. Lame what the heck is up with you sippin your tea...psh lol....
For the song though...uhhh this is ok- the lyrics are strong...beat is ok and their voices are average....nothing special at all. Lots of people could've pulled this off better. |

Tea is full of swag - seriously, read the back of the box.
All the rappers drink it... As for this song, its not my cup of tea (pun heavily intended), but it will get played in the club. Thanks, Dream. |

In my opinion this song wasn't meant to have all those pretences...it's a simple, girly club song and it must be considered for this aim! It isn't the song of the year, but it's good to dance to. Of course I don't like girls singing "we @*#$! you". I don't like it when (male) rappers say it, I like it even less when women say this, it's kinda gross. But in a club song lyrics can be ignored ;)

I wouldn't make generalizations like that. Teenagers are honestly just younger versions of you. Afterall, you had to be one at some point. Some teens are actually smarter than a lot of adults, it seems (of course not aimed at anyone here in the booth, but outside that).
Regardless, this was intended for the club. Something teenagers can't even attend! |

"...so fast i had to finish when ya leave..." ROFL I think that's about all the amusement I got out of this song. *yawn* What girl in her right mind is gonna walk around singing "nigga, I @*#$! you..." - not this one. And what's with the Rihanna "ey ey ey ey ey ey's"????
