Despite co-signs from Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and a major deal with Def Jam, the ladies of Electrik Red still have yet to make their mark on the charts. With the release of their debut album, How to Be a Lady (Vol. 1), postponed till May 26th, the eclectic girl group is pushing their single (and best shot at a hit) So Good at radio and music video outlets. The beat is a typical The-Dream feel and their vocals are average. I dont like the way Weezy is placed in the song this is decent

I'll give it the same rating as I did the original, but with recognition that this could easily be a charting track. Weezy is a lil disappointing on here, didn't really add anything to the track for me.

"So Good" has struggled to really POP (no pun intended) at radio, but I think Wayne might push it over the top. This isn't my cup of tea, and the ladies are only carried as far as the production goes, but this isn't bad by any means.

A Lil Wayne feature? Wow! Long time we didn't hear that huh. It couldnt be more predictable! Just wow at this clueless label executives. nobody is original anymore, nearly everybody is a follower. mainstream R&B and rap is pissing me off nowadays. out of 100 tracks I get to hear a week, I truly like maybe 5 maximum

As with the original version, once again I don’t get the low ratings!
The beat really makes me do crazy dance moves with my head since I’m seated. And background music is catchy! The smooth vocals work for the song, it’s sexy and… fck it, the ladies are gorgeous! ;) Weezy was a great feature; I always like his playful approach: other rappers try too hard, but he just goes and… does it! |

@Big-A - I completely agree with your "nobody is original anymore, nearly everybody is a follower" comment. But I know you understand that this is a business and at the end of the day its about making radio records that hit hard with the female demo.
This record doesn't aim to please you - but it does aim to please the very demo that will go out and support it.

Though many will disagree with my sentiment, originality is an overrated concept. With the dribble that comes out today; getting 'enjoyable' and 'catchy' music is an acceptable. This track is doing just that for it's target audience. They're capitalizing on the success of the-dream's style. Too bad the track is lacking in some depth, it'd be stronger if they integrated weezy a bit more throughout the track instead of the lackluster and obvious insertion towards the end.

I am a huge The-Dream mark but this just doesn't do it for me. This song has the same feel to me as "Hatin on the club". Just not my kind of track. I can't give it a two star.

I'm a huge dream fan production wise but the song is missing that "it" factor. It's like they tried to get wayne on the track to make it spin able with radio. Nice try but, bad business move on the part of the label.
