First impressions, as we know, are everything – and my first impression of this Booth newcomer came in the form of an official bio which contained the line, “If Hell had a synchronized swimming squad, DZK would be the one sniffing their swimsuits after practice.” I think I speak for all of us when I say, “What?!” The artist’s personal, uh, habits aside, though, you could hardly ask for a better second impression than new mixtape leak East Coast Devil, which finds the Virginian up-and-comer showcasing his mic skills over the slow-rolling, street-certified boardwork of longtime Booth favorite XV [for Kingsmen Productions]. While DZK’s main focus here is on trashing the many (in his opinion) mediocre artists that plague today’s music game, he also finds time to address his penchant for popping pain pills (don’t you dare compare him to Eminem, though!) and threaten to toss his enemies into Lil Kim‘s man-eating vagina. Yes, really. If the lyrical aggression and perverse wit this rising star showcases here leave you intrigued, keep it locked for the latest on his The Intertainer mixtape, which has yet to receive a solid release date.

Everyone is complaining about East Coast music these days... including (and mostly) East Coast artists. If Booth newcomer DZK has an entire projects worth of tracks like "East Coast Devil" I think those comments might start to die down a bit (thought he isn't from New York, which would help my argument).

I know he says not to compare him to Eminem (yup, they're both white very good), but this XV beat sounds exactly like something Em would flow over - am I wrong?

Ok, so, whats next...

I feel bad saying this, but for a track that was supposed to be so crazy, this one kind of bored me. Beat just didn't hook me in, and the same goes for the lyrics. Maybe the next time around.

I'm with JCourt... This is old as hell. Didn't he use this same beat for the intro song for the Sports Junkies talk show?????

This song is nothing next but its good ol’ fashioned underground Hip-Hop. Enjoyable but not particularly memorable.

I'm feeling this cat. DZ has been on my radar forever now. This song is really old actually.. His new stuff is even better. Lyrically, check out his battles. Beast.

he does have a hard hitting flow and his lyricsm is wierd at best but i think this dude might have a future. but the production is boring and nothin special. the whole layout of the track is off too cause i think the hook or his flow dont match with the beat. bland song but good lyrics

still a 2 tho
