Ask any man what his definition is of a ‘relationship death sentence’ and he will immediately utter something like, “Sh*t, just tell her you’ve been cheatin’.” Believe it or not, that is exactly what recording artist Dwele (pronounced, Dwel-a) has decided to do on the first single from his June 24th release, Sketches of a Man. Originally featured in the DJ Booth on April 15, I’m Cheatin’ has received the remix treatment from the Detroit native, who has recruited some of his Motown buddies from Slum Village for two full verses. Though the song’s message probably won’t help Dwele find a new lady anytime soon, it will help him kick off his brand new Koch-distributed project on a rather fine note.
Sounds exactly like the original version. But Dwele was on Commons song "The People." And he was also on Kanye West Wests "Flashing Lights." Those are two of the best songs in the last year. Dudes crzy though, I really like this guy.
MAN! How I be missing these original joints. I don't remember hearing the original joint, but this remix is flame! Dwele has always been the man on the tracks. G-1's production is definitely dipped in some soul and who better to lace it than the "Detroit Deli" natives.
You know who would've served this remix well too..Drake (From Toronto). This is definitely his style. I wonder if he'll do a rendition himself on a new mixtape.
(http://www.myspace.com/thisisdrake) if you've never heard of him. He did that joint "Replacement Girl" feat. Trey Songz back in the Spring of 2007)
Word! I've been hoping they'd get some of his joints on here. I'll holla at him about it and see if he's cool with me sending Z some. He's got two new hots joints A "Milli Freestyle" which is way better than Wayne's in my opinion, and also "Overdose" feat. Travie P. and Micky Factz. Matter of fact, I'll send them anyway. Drake will be happy for the exposure.
It's good, a singing track, laid back beat. Honestly I won't bump it much but I will play it. For some reason I don't remember the original being this nice... the guest verse is on point too. rotation.
Neo souls finest dont be fooled by this track, check this dude out keep up the good work mr gardner vigin records must off their heads to let him go although it aint a club banger my rating is for props
LOL my bad for the other comment. Umm being a female and liking this song is kinda like a slap in the face. UNTIL you realize he is cheating with another girl but rather his girl's good side with her bad (naughty) side. ahhh then its Dope.
