Duo Live - Shootin' ft. Various Artists
Artist: Duo Live
Featuring: Joell Ortiz , Red Cafe , Uncle Murda , M.O.P.
Producer: Sid V.
Album: Hard2Guard/MSG “Summerball” Soundtrack
Label: Redemption Music Group
Last heard inside the DJBooth in September of ’07, by way of their Fabolous-assisted single, Princess, emcee Fre and producer Sid V of Duo Live have been busy. Following the release of their last album, The Color of Money, the Brooklyn natives immediately got busy making brand new music. On the symphony-esque Shootin’, a record that has been released several times with a variety of different guest artists, Fre is joined by a host of underrated Northeast emcees, including Billionz, Joell Ortiz, Red Cafe, Uncle Murda, and the M.O.P. boys. Protected by “the Red, the Black, the Green,” the record isn’t about violence, but rather the type of shooting that is done on a basketball court; look for it on the forthcoming Hard2Guard/MSG “Summerball” soundtrack.

Expecting better for a b-ball song. Whats up wit the weird ass beat and the production sounds cheap. Average lyrics. Decent song
nothing extraordinary |

The African sample beat is kinda ill and mad concrete jungle style throwback. It doesn't really keep my attention, but it's a creative, clever joint. I'll give it rotation.

One sentence comment day...
It's great to see mostly slept-on talent come together for a collaborative effort and when you crank this b*tch up, its fire. |

The collaboration is crazy, but I can't find myself finishing this song after the first listen. Red Cafe & Joell are what this song is all about.

This is weird but I'm kinda feelin this. Their flows are really good and the production is particular. I'm feelin the beat, pity that it often stops, I don't like those pauses in the middle of the song! In rotation
