Dukwon - Polo Ho (Ralph Lauren) [Online Premiere] ft. Killer Mike
Artist: Dukwon
Featuring: Killer Mike
Producer: Nyce Ryder Productions
Album: Florida Lotto Mixtape
Label: FTGU Music
When you think popular hip-hop attire, which brands spring to mind? Some like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, or Bathing Apes, while others prefer Red Monkey or Evisu jeans, and it seems that Nike Air Force Ones or Air Jordans are the universal footwear standard (unless you’re a fan of The Pack). On new single Polo Ho, (making its online premiere right here in the Booth) Dukwon reveals that he rocks Ralph Lauren from head to toe (yes, apparently Polo makes shoes). In his guest verse, Killer Mike pays tribute to his favorite Ralph Lauren line, the Purple Label. While Nyce Ryder Productions’ beat might be a bit too “bass-ful” to describe such an upscale brand, Polo Ho is a strong record likely to score either an endorsement deal or a copyright infringement lawsuit. Which one do you think it will be, dear Booth-heads?

As someone who rocks the Horse... I can relate. As one of my interns said earlier today: this is ignorant, but fresh to death.
Dukwon has a nice swag to his verses and Killer Mike torches EVERYTHING he raps over. |

I really love the production; it's simple and kinda repetitive but it's fire. I'm not sure I'm on dis Polo ish though I'm just seeing too much White Tee, Red Tee, Black Tee etc. It feels like deja vu.

I think he got a little carried away with "polo" (polo pants, polo shoes...?) but yeah, I can't hate. It's a fun song.

Yeah, like I said earlier, this is one of the most ignorant songs I have heard in a while, but it got me to put Polo gear on today. I am loving the production even though the beginning sounds like something from Katamari Damacy, and Killer Mike starts off like E-40. Fire it is.

Can't get with this or appreciate it. It is fresh, but so outplayed at this point. The simple beat mixed with simple lyrics in an attempt to make a new dance craze is way past my tolerance.

Typical club production I don't like. It's really generic! I would dance to this but I wouldn't listen to it, too repetitive...2,5

First of all, this track made me laugh. Second, it made me think that it was kinda fresh. The flow could use some work, but the song bump. Killa Mike sounded real hot on here. (Wasn't he on that BigBoi track "Flip Flop Rock") Haha I can picture Killa Mike singin this in his Polo and some flippy floppies! Anyway, I've been known to rock a RL Polo from time to time, so I can get wit this.

The subject matter is outplayed...if you gonna dedicate a whole song to a brand name clothing it has to be better than this. Not hating but the production is too generic and the hook gets annoying after a while. Decent lyrics not much else. 2 stars

Umm, i guess it's still cool to rap about clothes, nothing too creative though ("red polo looking like spaghetti sauce")? But Killa has a great flow as usual, but as an induvidual who has more polo's than any other shirts-I can relate!!!

Oh No, not another one of these songs....wow when i continue to hear songs such as these i get dissapointed. Sure there comes a time when you need that song you can just dance to, but the concept is hella stupid. That's fine evry once in a while but there's just too many of those out right now. Such as all of those Crank That's, stanky legg, swag surfin etc. Honestly this is a straight wack song. I consider myself part of the younger generation and i'm not feeling this, but of course every other person just might. I'm tired of people with no talent trying to rap...go sit down!
