After spending years selling out clubs in the New York underground circuit, seven-man band Dujeous is set to drop their sophomore album, Day In, Day Out, this November. Pronounced doo-jee-us, these explosive live performers are finally ready to sit down and Break Bread. With a sound perfect for the listener with a refined palate, the group stays away from artificial flavors and additives. True to the song’s title, John Legend and Brooklyn native Maya Azucena, each add lush vocals that stick to the ribs of the band’s self-produced track. With a co-sign from the Booth and song placements on TV shows such as Entourage and Crank Yankers, Dujeous with hopefully find their fill of fame and fortune.

Awesome message and the soulful vibe is mad ill. Bump the haters who CRANK DAT. The vibe is real chill. I will say, dude on the first verse was a bit boring though. The second verse seemed to be a little more energetic. Overall, it's a decent track and a good message. I can throw it in rotation. So I guess my opinion on this song is not to far from you WOW on this one...cuz it is pretty boring. But it's also a different style, so I don't think you really can say you've heard way betta by comparing it to something that you like within your tastes cuz it's not the same type of music. Ya feel me? Holla back.

Yea this is alil boring to me too. But a easy listen. Not something to listen to in a club or anything. Good positive message. I can listen to this on a sunday with the family. Where was John Legend on this?

WOW; I was expecting this at all!!! This is what I love about the DJBooth, these talented artists come out of nowhere and offer more quality than the average in the game! Production is SUPERB: so eclectic (all those woodwind instruments, strings, piano, bass… damn, even the clapping!) but very harmonizing! The vocals/chorus are GREAT and the melody is touching! The rapping/lyrics is well put together and I liked the many different flows. This is the BEST song featured today; this is the type of production I expect from Mr. West.
PS: For those who find this boring, sorry Z, I must quote you: “You know those songs where as soon as the first note hits your ear drum, you begin to smile? If you are not accustomed to that sensation, you probably listen to crappy music.” lol |

FredRico, feel free to quote me anytime; I like to offer up quotables. I agree, this is one of the most refreshing songs in recent memory. The emcees allow the quality production to wholly dictate their rhyme styles, unlike many emcees who refuse to alter their cadence from track to track. Break bred on new music, people.

Besides all the miscellanea of instruments you can imagine (hear) in this song, two are really weird to find in these guys sound: the balafon (a resonated frame, wooden keyed percussion idiophone of West Africa) and the koto (a traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument)! I knew there were some exquisite sounds I never heard before this… this band is a pleasure to explore! They are one of the best live bands right now.

How can many of you say this is boring? I have heard many REALLY boring songs and many people found them excellent...THIS is excellent! I have never heard of these Dujeous but they are truly talented. This track is pure pleasure to my ears! The music is spectacular, sweet and sexy, the melody is good and it shows it's sweetness in the hook and their flow is good. I think the background music is the most beautiful element of this song, it's (to quote FredRico) touching. Banger
