What a busy last couple of years it has been for Disturbing tha Peace! Ludacris went platinum again (Release Therapy) and finally won a Grammy award. Roster changes also occurred with the departure of Shawnna (who left on good terms to be an independent artist), a new arrival (New Jersey MC Serius Jones), and even a prodigal son’s return (Chingy‘s back). The first single off their upcoming compilation album Strength in Numbers, is the Latin dance-sounding Celebrity Chick, which features Chingy, Steph Jones, and Small World of Norfolk. Although Chingy has never been the lyricist type, he shows off his hit-making skill yet again. Steph Jones’ sung chorus and second hook vocals complement the beat perfectly, while Small World obviously has his mind on bagging the same superstar girls that Chingy and Jones describe. Look for Celebrity Chick to reach Mr. Billboard and if this is any indicator, look for DTP to have a bright future ahead of them.
