The 126th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of Dre-Ski, the Virginia Beach up-and-comer who earned reader acclaim for Empty Paradise and It’s Getting Old. On his brand new, previously-unreleased Hotline freestyle, the Truth.Reality.Culture emcee flows over a DJ Premiere-produced instrumental originally featured on 2008’s BET Cypher. Dre-Ski is currently preparing for the February 5, release of his Calm Your Taste Budz mixtape, which will be followed by Booth-sponsored street album Cloud 8.7.

Man, I forgot how much this beat goes HARD! Dre's flow is seamless here and he really goes in (4 minutes of straight spittin). Great inflection, good energy and plenty of one-liners.
Yet another talented emcee out the DMV region... people need to stop sleeping!

i ain't tryna get in the industry dre-ski but tha beat is about tha only reason i tolerated it. it ain't that ur bad its just there just ain't anything special about u either. i don't like the reverb on ur voice and it's tacky when anyone name drops too many times...though i'm sure dj booth didn't mind. i'm being real nice saying it's ok homie...

Good to hear the return of the freestyle series, and I have to give Dre Ski some serious props for doing more than one verse. This is nothing but five straight minutes of straight flow - I've got nothing nut respect.
@djelectric Not to sound defensive, but I'm not sure what your definition of "too many times" is. To me a few spread out over four minutes didn't feel like overkill. Then again, notice how I didn't get a shout out (yet again), so maybe I should be more critical (LOL).
