If the hype is to be believed, Drake’s debut album Thank Me Later will sell approximately eleven billion copies, cure cancer and reverse global warming when it’s released. Well, I’ll be damned if Drizzy might just end up doing it, especially if the whole album sounds like Miss Me. First and foremost, just like he did on Not Afraid, Boi-1da - with some help from Noah “40” Shebib - crafts an instantly addictive beat that Drake uses to spit rhymes about weed, guns, strippers and cash (we’re a long way from Degrassi), and does so with legitimate skill. And as long as Drake was blowing money he might as well bring in his Cash Money mentor Lil Wayne for a frankly subpar guest verse. Who thought we’d see the day Drizzy out-rhymed Weezy? As always, I’m sure folks will find plenty to complain about (see the comments below), but as far as I’m concerned, this is Thank Me Later’s best yet. The most anticipated album of the year drops on June 15. Prepare yourself accordingly.

This song first appeared on the Top Hip Hop / R&B Chart on July 19, 2010

I have to say I agree with Nathan in that this is my favorite song off the album to date (and yes, I know, we've only featured three now). Drake is entertaining on the mic, the production is bananas, and the end result of my listening experience left me rather pleased with what is to come (in the form of the full LP).

This is just weak. Wanye can't even save Drake right now. Something about his delivery in this song makes me think garbage. Quit talking and start rapping.

Best part of this song is Drake talking about him marrying Nicki Minaj. That gave me a good chuckle.

Definitely the strongest song lyrically we have heard from Drake in a while. Won't obviously have the mainstream appeal as Over or Find Your Love, but its not meant for that.

Drake definitely out did Weezy on this one. I love Wayne but I feel for every great verse he has, there are 2 not so good ones out there. But considering he has 146,000 verses out there, you can't say much on the man.

I don't know if this is the best song on the album after listening to Unforgettable featuring Young Jeezy. Anyways, this is a solid song. Drake and Wayne spit their lyrics over a head-nodding beat. Nice banger!

Its sad to say that Weezy brought this down. Drake definitely held his own.

"DRAKE just stand for Do Right And Kill Everything" - i fvckin love that line, same with the nicki minaj lines...that sh1t made me laugh..."and your pants are might fitted" haha

But Wayne just didnt spit good on this. He started off pretty good, but it just fell apart after like 8 bars. "Turn you into a vegetable like you lyin in soup"?????????? Whattttttt????????? So whack. "I got so many styles, man i am a group" Again, whattttttttttttt????????

I'm so tempted to give this a 4, but Weezy just made it a 3.

Can I just say the part bout Nicki is hillarious. Though I expect this may not be the best of the album but it goes in really good. Lil wayne may be over a few peoples heads on this one, the lyrics are from a mixtape knuckle heads but it took a while to get mastered and I really like this final version.

Drake isn't at the top of my list when it comes to favorites, but there is no denying that the man does in fact have talent. While I prefer when he sings, he does have some pretty dope punchlines.

Not much can be said about this track. I heard this song awhile back and I can't complain, Drake did his thing and Lil Wayne provided a solid guest feature. Personally, I would probably skip this track after a couple of times hearing it on his album, but that's just me.

The beat from Boi-1da gets the most applause from me. Looking forward to hearing the rest of what is on "Thank Me Later." This goes in my rotation.

Drake's extended verse was very fluid. Well done. The chorus seems like its in a hurry though. @JayhawkAI3- "Quit talking and start rapping" huh?

"Ohh, shit, @*#$! god-damn" Very creative Weezy. Anyone understand the following "Pam" reference? His "I am a group" line was hot. Average verse from the most overrated rapper in the game.

Drake > Lil Wayne

I think I would give this a 4.5...but it's hard for me to say. Seeing that tracklist for "Thank Me Later" made me want to have a heart attack, but in a good way. The beat isn't anything special until you get to the hook on this song which is crazy. So far I'm in love with all the singles on this album. This single however won't blow up either like his others haven't. Note: I don't count a single getting big unless it breaks the top ten of the Hot 100 on Billboard.

This is the most anticipated album since "Life After Death". Great choice for the 3rd single. Boi-1da is the hottest producer in the game at the moment, and this is a perfect example why. Both Drake and Weezy deliver witty rewind worthy rhymes as expected. "Drake stands for Do Right And Kill Everything". I'm very impressed with everything I've heard from this project to date.

This is my favorite of the 3 singles so far. I love the production, and Drake doesnt dissapoint lyrically. Weezy, however, does compared to how he could murder this production going at his hardest. Overall, i like it a lot, still can't wait for Thank Me Later.

@XuUP17... "Drake needs to stop talking and start rapping."

Yeah, my bad, I wasn't real clear earlier. In my opinion, when Drake is laying down his verses, he is just talking. It's like he is having a conversation or something. He needs to rap, spit, get into the verse. Every song he has it's just like so laid back, sounds like he is just talking and not rapping. It doesn't work for me.

Can't go wrong with Drizzy & Weezy! Drake definitely upstaged Wayne on this one, but both had quotables..the hook is dope, the beat is dope, the flows are dope....it all just sounds dope! I have high expectations for Thank Me Later, and I haven't been let down as of yet!

btw the beat reminds me of Cannon (Remix) by Lil' Wayne back in 06

I don't know if it's just me but I would say Drake has been losing steam instead of gaining it going into his debut album. This track just really doesn't do much for me. Kinda like a throw away track u keep on the album to fill in some gaps. Not horrible but not great. Just aiight! Weezy definitely didn't add or bring anything to enhance it either.

Remove the people who love everything Drake sneezes on, and the people who automatically hate everything he kills, and you're left with a lot of people who think this is a damn good track. I'm on of them. I have to give a lot of credit to this beat, it's sick. Let's get a remix going. Imagine on Luda on this...

Interesting side note: The Maliah he mentions in the track is the chick who's in his video for "Find Your Love".

Drake does very well for himself with his flow on here. This is really a SOLID Track! I am completely on board with you Nathan! Lil Wayne HURT this beat as well. CLA$$IC status for me...Watch how this soars on the DJbooth.net charts...I'm callin it early...

I heard this already and didn't think it was great, to be honest this is DEFINITELY the worst track released yet, Sorry but I just can't agree that this is the best on the album so far.

I think this track is mediocre and I think people will bang it because it's Drake, but I'm not worried everything else I've heard has been absolute BANGERS.

Sorry but I'm not getting this one. I'm not a fan of the beat because I don't think allows Drake's usual flow to shine. It all just seems kind of lazy. Wayne's verse is wack to the point that it just gets annoying. I've liked the other stuff off of Thank Me Later so far so I'm hoping this is going to be the only song that I have to skip when listening to the album. I do like the chorus though.

Drake is one of my favorite artists right now so its hard not to fall in love with his music. With that being said, I don't believe this song is a classic because there's no "IT" factor. For all I know when I listen to this song next year I'm gonna be like "oh thats that Drake song that was just 'alright.'" Its on rotation for sure but I don't really think this is going to last on radio. If anything this song is good at best.

I must be honest, I wasn’t completely feeling the Boi-1da's composition when it first came out, but it has grown on me, a lot.

For something that is so seemingly simple on first listen, there are a lot of subtleties going on here. The thing I like the most about this song is that it evolves through a number of separate sections (verses-hook-outro), each with their own vibe.

And you've got to give it up to Drake, he be skilled on mic - flipping in between braggadocio and introspection with ease, sometimes overly earnest but always full of great witty lyrical choices. Lil Wayne was much better than what I was expecting and lyrics/punchlines that have loads of sense in them.

At first when I was listening I thought the beat was quite repetitive but then when the beat switched it up a lil inbetween the song I was like dam, this is some good quality Drake right here, Lil Wayne just sounded bored or stoned, come on Weezy you coulda come way harder.
