On Make Me Proud, a new single recently premiered by Funkmaster Flex on his Hot 97 program, Young Money megastar Drake pays tribute to a girl who has both his love and his deep respect. In addition to celebrating her formidable mental powers, he gives her big ups for standing strong against the advances of pushy men “You see n*ggas comin’ on too strong; that’s why you wanna have no sex, why you wanna protest, why you wanna fight for your rights.” Joining the T-Dot phenom over T-Minus’ understated instrumental, a slinky blend of hi-hat driven percussion and swirling synth arpeggios, labelmate Nicki Minaj boasts about her business savvy (along with her double-Ds) in a schizophrenically-flowed guest verse. Featuring this banger and much, much more, Drake’s highly-anticipated sophomore set, Take Care is now set to drop November 15 (pushed back from its former release date of October 24, Drizzy’s birthday).

Not as good as Up All Night but it's decent. It feels more like album filler than a single but I guess anything with Drake and Nicki on it will be a hit.
This is like Nicki's 5th guest spot in like two weeks. Birdman, Big Sean, Rick Ross, Willow Smith and now Drake, damn. |

Another banger off of "Take Care", which I'm really excited about. I'm happy that a big name rapper finally made a song like this (recently anyways) because it is kind of a women's anthem in a sense. As is with most Drake songs, the production and hook are excellent. Even his flow is impressive and not the normal punchline flow. Overall great song from what's going to be an impressive album.

A bit underwhelmed by this song...more of the same from Drake....Nicki is getting kind of old to me. Beat was weak...maybe with a few more listens it will grow. But I hope the standard of music on Take Care is better than this.

Straight Banger. DJ Z said it right - didn't have me on first listen but this wil get played on radio 20 times a day. A number 1 hit. Hopefully take care has a good mixture of these types of tracks and some deeper lyrically driven masterfully produced tracks otherwise we could be looking at a pop album from Drake.
