Although few have heard of Drake in the United States, he has built up a strong reputation in his native Canada. Despite being best known for his role as Jimmy Brooks on Degrassi: The Next Generation, the Toronto native also has a rap career, the pinnacle of which came with the Trey Songz-assisted Replacement Girl (the first Canadian unsigned video to chart on BET’s 106 & Park countdown). Making an even bigger move, Drake has recruited arguably the most popular hip-hop artist in the world (Lil’ Wayne) for the singing rappers’ ballad on how stale a relationship can get when nothing is Brand New. Enhanced by a slow beat from the T-Dot’s premier producer Boi-1da, Brand New is a lead up to Drake’s third mixtape/album, So Far Gone, available online this August.

Bout time! MH!! Check it out! they finally got ya boy on here. This song is off the chain. I been playin the Og for about a year now. Wanye honestly takes something away form it vocally. His part, dispite being waynly clever is completely off key. Drake on the other hand lays his vocals down smooth. Wait till yall hear dude rhyme though. T. got a star on their hands.

Wow! Its great to have some different r&b artist untill Wayne comes along to have is name on the song and fuuck it up. But despite Waynes terrible performance it's great vocals from Drake and a kill beat. Wayne needs to stop bein on songs called brand new too. It's gettin old. I'd give it five if nopt for wayne sooo...... BANGER!!!

YES! I slid Z this exclusive. I will say, the original is MUCH BETTER! I think the clout that Lil Wayne has will get more people listening to the track and therefore giving Drake more buzz. The original gets 5 stars, but the remix on gets 4 because Wayne should have rapped on this rather than sung. But you guys need to check more out regarding Drake. He's a very talented rapper. Hopefully the booth will feature one of his hip hop joint on here soon. Also, search YouTube for the Brand New Remix featuring Young Son. FINALLY! DRAKE SON! Degrassi heads stand up....lol. Forreal though, check him out.

It's too slow, really. I like slow r&b songs, they are chillin and sexy, but not when they are like this! The music is good and Drake can sing, but the song itself is boring. Lil Wayne doesn't fit the track at all to me.

I'm feelin this right here! I'll give this the stamp of Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER easily. Lil Wayne doesn't sound annoying when he sings on this track like he does on some others. I like his vibe he brings in. I guess I'll go check out Drake sometime soon!

I think Drake is really close to signing with "Young Money", but I feel when it's all said and done, he's going to turn out to be an even more epic artist internationally than Lil Wayne will ever be.
