You can’t fault Down With Webster for a lack of ambition; not satisfied simply with toppling the current music-industry with Royalty, the Canadian rap-rock ensemble broaden their aspirations to encompass, well, everything on the newly-released I Want It All (Remix). Of course, they don’t expect to be handed world domination on a silver platter—on the contrary, as vocalists Cam and Bucky make clear over Boi-1da‘s crunchy, hard rock-infused production, they’re ready, willing and able to work for every crumb. Newly-added for this version of the record, A-Town/Philly dual representative STS (a freestyle series alum) and Marietta, Georgia’s Kyle Lucas (ditto) lace the beat with, respectively, gymnastically-flowed braggadocio and defiant declarations of vengeance on the rest of the game. Without a doubt, Down With Webster have the drive to succeed. But do they have the chops to achieve the lofty goal of total domination?
