Remember how menacing Ice Cube was when he played Doughboy in the film Boyz ‘N Da Hood? Well, an unsigned artist from Atlanta is looking to push his own brand of fear on the new narcotics anthem, Birdz Fly High. With the help of Czar Entertainment – the folks behind The Game and Mario Winans – emcee Doughboy looks to build up hype for the release of his ’09 debut, B4 Rap, with a new mixtape full of his street stories. The project, entitled Da Cookbook Vol. 2 and hosted by The Aphilliates’ DJ Drama, finds Doughboy providing Pacino-esque banter over production by M.A.J. (of Xplosive Productions). Doughboy presents himself as a product of a harsh environment, but will he be able to make his voice heard when his album drops? Stay tuned to hear for yourself.

HOW DID I KNOW IT WAS THIS SAMPLE! So PREDICTABLE! The beat was nice, but I felt (or should I say I have heard) the sample flipped WAY HARDER than this. Dude's voice reminds me of Rick Ross and Plies mixed together. But more like Ross though. It's like the way Ross' form of speaking and Plies' vocal tone. (If that makes any since) He's actually not bad. He had a more energetic flow and I started to feel it as the track continued. I'll definitely drop 4 stars on this . I can see this being a hot vid and really catching on! Definitely!

Awesome production. But does anyone else feel like they've heard this before??? I know he bit that first line from someone, I just can't think of where it came from right now. "I'm a product of my environment, so I get on and move product in my environment." Maybe not an exact quote from someone but still eerily similar!
