This past Thursday, on Brooklyn’s Brighton Beach boardwalk, a quarrel between teenagers flared up into a shootout, leaving four injured and one, a 16-year-old girl named Tysha Jones, dead. An acquaintance of Jones’, longtime Booth favorite Donny Goines responds to the tragedy on unreleased cut One by One, recounting his memories of the young woman and mourning her lost potential over Simon Illa‘s elegiac sample work. This heartfelt tribute isn’t set for inclusion on any forthcoming project, but fans can, as always, stay tuned for the latest from Goines.
