On her debut single, Dondria sang of a boy who she just couldn’t stop thinking about. As we have pointed out quite often inside the Booth, however, the best-laid plans almost always end up going astray; tired of this boy’s selfish ways, Phatfffat has kicked him to the curb, exclaiming “Boy Stop!” Featuring an old-school sound with new-school appeal, the song boasts a guest feature from So So Def labelmate Bow Wow, who spits arguably one of his strongest verses since… ever. On the production end, label boss Jermaine Dupri takes a trip back in the day, channeling his inner Kriss Kross. Boy Stop is a potential single from Dondria’s debut album, Dondria vs. Phatfffat, currently set to drop in the second quarter of ‘09.

1 word for this: FRUSTRATING! I gotta say when Bow popped off over that It Takes Two beat, I had a 4 star rating hands down. We haven't really heard Bow Wow a lot in the clubs EVER. Once he was over, this song went way downhill. The beat is fire, but we've heard it all before. This one gets a 2 from me, but Bow's verse is a solid 4.

WOW CB!!!! that was a straight.. 100% correct. Bow started this song off like it was going 2 be a banger straight thru.. yet.. it stopped as soon as he did.

MAN.....I liked the throwback feel OFF TOP! BOW SMASHED THIS JOINT! Dondria is okay though....seriously....if this song had of came out in 1994, this would have been your favorite song. I was just peeping early 90s joints like this for SWV and stuff, and I realized that a lot of the singers weren't SUPER strong vocally. They sounded a lot like this. But everyone loved it and played it all the time. I think we've become more critical as time has went on, like 14 years later since that era. So I think if J.D and all of em were trying to make a joint that sounded like the mid-nineties party classic....they HIT IT on the nose! I would have liked another verse from Bow. But I thought this joint was real hot. I'll throw it in rotation. Another verse from Bow and maybe a change-up would have made it a 4 for me.

I feel I have accomplished WAY WAY WAY to much in this industry for what I am about to type to effect my street cred in any way... Bow Wow killed this. Just killed it.
As for Dondria, she has a great voice, very soft and enjoyable to listen to, but I would have preferred to hear her on this record solo. I understand the move from a marketing standpoint, though, so no hatin' here.

bow wow did good, for bow wow that is...ne ways i like the tone of dondria's voice and i like the throw back feel...nice track. i do feel like i'm in 1993 tho...lol. cool tho.

You know I hate this retro shit! Bow wow sounds comfortable here. Dondria doesn't. Kinda strange if you ask me. This is not authentic 90's music right here.

I'm feelin this song, it's catchy and will be perfect for the clubs! Dondria has a good voice and Bow Wow's verses are good. Of course I don't think this track is original or a quality one, but it's pleasant in my opinion. In rotation!

It feels like a carnal sin to say Wow killed something but daaam did he do so, if the track had ended there I would've been asking for more but would've been left content for the moment. For the love of music take this chic off the beat and throw a hungry up-and-coming rapper on this (strugglin' to find a proper fit in my head...) and then re-submit this to the world.
