Things have been relatively quiet for Konvict Muzik rising star Dolla, ever since his first single, Who The F Is That?, managed to bubble and fizzle in the same breath. With a track record of certified hits from his labelmates, however, Akon’s first stringer is set to confidently unleash Make A Toast, from his forthcoming debut, A Dolla and a Dream. The fingerprints of Lil’ Wayne and T-Pain are all over the track—Dolla even incorporates a dash of auto-tune. Producer Julian Bunetta does his best to create a triumphant symphony, working out a beat that should have the club doing a collective head nod. A Dolla and a Dream, already delayed several times, is currently aiming for an early 2009 release date.
The beat is hella good on dis one. This song is old cuz i've had this on my ipod for like 2 months. Bout time yall had this on DJ Booth. Dolla's flow on this one is decent and Wayne is solid! This is a banger
i've liked a few of dolla's offerings so far. this one is really good, something is holding it back for me, but i'll toast him for going it alone and bringin it hard
First of all, E-Dub, this song is NOT old; it has not even officially been released to radio (first week of November). It doesn't matter that you found the leaked version online 8 weeks ago, 98% of the listening population has not heard this joint. (Sorry, friends, I really hate to beat a dead horse about the 'old comments' stuff.) Nice production, nice song. Not as good as his debut single.
E-Dub, I wasn't trying to infer that it is somehow your fault that songs get leaked (and I think you already know that). Just for future reference, please refrain from using the word 'old' when referring to material you downloaded somewhere on the web; it makes DJBooth sound like we were late to jump on something, when in fact, Jive just sent us the record last week. Thanks, fam!
dolla kinda looks like iverson right there in street clothes. song prolly could come harder and maybe with a featured artist could definitely become a banger. 3 stars in rotation
oooo i really really like this song:) where the F haz he been?? lol....i luv thiz beat and i love tha "o o o" in tha background...thiz song iz hella good. WOW!
Wow it was time to hear something I would be crazy for...I'm absolutely feelin this, it's just my type of song! Wonderful production with a great beat, a good-sounding Dolla and a decent Lil' Wayne! Chorus is excellent and bridge is fire...classic! Can't wait to download it! Ps: this type of track is reminding me of "Roll With Me" by Joe Hound and Dre
like the beat but it reminds me of a different song swing ya rag by swizz beats dolla does alrite dont like the concept to originall for my taste but it nice to be living the life he talk about though
hmmm..konfused bout this track..i kinda wanna feel it like some of ya do,but it lacks that drive for me..this one should've hit harder..still gonna rock it in rotation tho,and see what the people in miami feel bout it..ya diGg
Dj EZ.
This IS OLD!
Lol, i've had this on my iPod now for lets see.
"Date Modified August 7,2008"
Stop trolling he's simply stating he knows the song piece by piece.
yeah DJZ I understand that you guys cant put all the songs out quick cuz u only featur 8 songs a day and only the illegal version of this song was available until recently. My bad not trying to disrespect this website. Next time I wont say old I will just say I heard it a while back
yall know if the version that just came out for this song is good quality??? The one I have right now is 96 kbps which is hella bad..even worse than all my limewired b.i.g. songs
i hope he stays around..cuz he is a rapper THAT CAN ACTUALLY RAP.he just need better production and learn how to ride on the track.plus make the switch 2 a song writer his raps get sidetracked alot.but he gotta lot of potential this show it
I assumed I commented on this a couple weeks ago, but apparently not. Just thought I'd say it's sick, and his use of the vocoder on that one part was executed greatly. Dolla impressed here.
