In late ‘06, DJ Unk had just about everybody in America ’walking it out‘, and early the following year he introduced the 2 Step (a dance even the most hard-boiled folks do at their favorite spots). Given that it has been almost two years since the release of Beatin’ Down Yo Block!, the Atlanta hitmaker has decided that it’s time to get the club moving again for a Second Season. Ready to set yet another trend, Unk is looking to get the whole crowd stuntin’, popping bottles and showing off models In Yo Face. On the single, Oomp Camp‘s in-house producer DJ Montay (I’d Rather) delivers with a club-ready beat, but, as with his other singles, the appeal of In Yo Face will most likely come from whatever dance the video features.
The beat on here is OK. I'm not really feeling the chorus. I don't think his sound is unique enough for him to stay around for long. His flow is an average type south flow. Beat is growing on me as the track goes on! I will throw it in rotation; but not for a real long time...
The bridge and the hook are the only highlights of this song. The horns adds a nice dimension to the song. I don't care too much for DJ Unk's flow on this track.
This joint hasn't even dropped nationally yet... and people are already predicting it will fail. Give the man some time to at least get a video treatment together, jeez. This was created to bang in the club... and it WILL bang in the club. As Borat says, "it is great success."
Why do we have to hate on Unk!?!? Take it for what it is people...this shit is gonna bump hard in the clubs and my speakers :) I have been looking forward to some new Unk...a lot of good memories can be braught back by listening to walk it out and two step
I honestly believe he's merely a step above soulja boy in terms of actual tangible talent. But his beat sold it on walk it out and it'll certainly do so for this track. Although this track doesn't seem as catchy as walk it out...?
i think this has got a chance. everyone wants to stunt on someone in the club, and if they put a good dance step to this... i can already see myself gettin ignant to this!
I don't know what "the boss" means by saying "SOUNDS LIKE ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE WACK ASS DOWN SOUTH DANCE TRACKS." Don't hate cuz we get it poppin in the clubs, this song does just that, its a club banger, i like it, big ups to the south!!!!!
i dont know bout this one..too early to tell if its gonna be another unk summer...we will just wait and see..this is nice tho but not as above par as walk it out and 2 step..i can already hear t pain on a remix on this jawn..
wow too bad dj unk & soulja boy r not one hit wonders....last time i checked soulja boy always have at least one (sumtimes 2) videos in the top countdowns on bet, mtv, yahoo music, aol music. etc. neways i dnt c dis bein as big as walk it out or 2 step but i like it.....its gon do gud down here cuz ppl n atl always reppin where dey from.....SOUTHSIDE!!!! lmao!!
Man this is terrible besides the production, and dj Z there is no way i am gonna give this video a chance. I dont think that it will fail though, but it fails for me. Mainstream rap at its finest right herrr!
not really feeling the hook on this track, but the beat is hot, i dont like the rap at all tho, south rappers need to step thier lyrics up bit. but i can see lil kids dancing to this song, that crank dat crowd would love it, but its not 4 me. 2 out of 5
the best part of the song is the hook!!!
sorry to say it but its true ....
beat is too average and his flow is too
was expectin somethin better but it in rot
south musik!
Yournotme........ ur dumb man...... How you gonna say that hip hop is the souths? Whos the hottest hip hop artist right now? Lupe Fiasco. Who is the greatest of all time? well, just take your pick..... Jayz Nas, 2Pac, and Big. Seriously besides Andre, the south is full of stupid lyrics with hot production. Your producers are hot, but most southern artists suck. Hip Hop is on life support, and its because of the south. Dudes like Lupe, Kanye, Common, Talib, and if you wanna include undetground music all from the Northeast. Yall got Weezy and Weezy aint even consistent. If you really wanna talk about who is running Hip Hop it is Chi Town. The 3 top rappers on Choi Town are all at least top 10 in the game right now. Geta Grip...... Ya Diggggg?
YourNotMe: First, never call out any of my writers. Second, if you re-read the blurb (above) about this song, you will notice that NO opinion has been offered. If this site didn't like hip-hop music from Down South artists... it wouldn't be featured to begin with. If you'd like to continue this talk; e-mail me.
its got theat club banger feel but wen analyzed nad listened to properly it is a really poorly pu together song at a cheap atempt to revive his 15min of fame...wait for the video
@ DJ Z: "What up vanilla face. Me and my homie Azumat parked our slab out front." Sorry I wasn't here yesterday to catch your Borat reference. LOL I'm going to give this a Banger rating just because I know it will knock the truck off of my car.
Oh man! To be honest, it wasn't that bad! I'm not a Unk fan. I cringe every time I hear "walk it out"(Except the for remix Andre 3000 made that a classic) or "2 step" and I thought this would be just as bad. But it's not! I guess I can tolerate this one!
