Though Biggie biopic Notorious is reaching the end of its run at many theaters, the homages and tributes to the fallen legend don’t look like they’re going to stop any time soon.  One of Biggie’s most famous tracks was Who Shot Ya, the record that inadvertently stirred up the infamous East Coast-West Coast rap war (due to 2Pac‘s misinterpretation of the lyrics).  DJ Suss.One uses its Nashiem Myrick-produced instrumental to bring together three of Brooklyn’s best-known underground artists. Though Red Cafe, Uncle M (formerly Uncle Murda), and Maino all take it to another level, none of the three can hold a candle to the Notorious B.I.G.‘s original style.  DJ Suss.One’s debut album, The Feature Presentation, currently has no set release date.

This is a solid effort, but it just doesn't sound right without the B.I.G. holdin down the mic... the artists do alright, but its just too hard to follow up on the beat to a song like "Who Shot Ya"

I have had a rule that I stick by for my entire life when it comes to "remakes". If you are going to remake something (movies, music, whatever...) make sure it is better than the original - otherwise it might not be worth it. The original "Who Shot Ya" is a 5-star classic. This is nowhere near.

Nice verses from Red and Maino, but Uncle M was disappointing to say the least.

The beat is cool but I'm not crazy for the music. He sounds good! The overall song is kinda boring I must say, it's really repetitive, it never changes! OK

Cosign DJ-Z,
The classics should be left alone...

@PattyPatty85,
Regardless of the repitition. This track is some straight up New York @*#$!, only difference is that Big held your attention through the whole song.

I find myself losing interest in this.. and individually, I like all of the emcees...
