DJ Mathematics - Made Men
Artist: DJ Mathematics
Featuring: Raekwon , Method Man , Cappadonna
Producer: DJ Mathematics
Album: Made Men LP
Label: Unsigned
When three talents of the caliber of Method Man, Ghostface Killah and Raekwon the Chef collide for an album as excellent as Wu-Massacre undoubtedly was, you’d expect there to be at least a few top-shelf outtakes, right? Here to prove your intuition correct is Booth newcomer DJ Mathematics, with Made Men – a cut that, though it didn’t make it onto the aforementioned LP, proved to be plenty dope enough to serve as title track of Mathematics’ own forthcoming LP. Here, the headliner’s vintage string samples set a fittingly cinematic mood as Rae and Meth, along with fellow Wu-Tang member Cappadonna and rising stars EyesLow and Bad Luck, drop hard-nosed bars revolving around the time-tested topics of cash, crack, and clips. With the steaming buffet of fresh lyricism on display here, can you really expect me to pick a favorite? That, my friends is for you to decide; as is the question of whether the track should rightfully have made it onto Wu-Massacre. Whatever your opinion, you should most definitely keep it locked for the latest on Mathematics’ Made Men LP, which has yet to receive a release date.

Sounds to me like it was good enough to make the Wu-Massacre album. I guess Def Jam wanted us to know that when it comes to music there CAN be too much of a good thing (right?) That album's loss (in the form of this song) is Mathematics gain, and all for the better (since he produced it).
As Richard mentioned in his above write-up, we are again treated to several minutes of cash, crack, and clips talk. The difference, of course, is that its highly-entertaining and doesn't come across as stale and boring. |

Damn, everyone comes hard on this. Verse after verse, it all flowed smoothly together. Production was nice too, sounds like the Wu I like to hear.

There's a select group of emcees that never disappoint, and Rae/Ghost/Meth are part of that group. They all went in, though I have to agree with croatia, Meth came with it on this one.
Honestly though, I can see why this was left off. It's dope, but with all the rappers on here it tends to lose some steam towards the end. |

The Wu's still got the best combos in the game...The Chef kicks it off with the first wafer, then three affiliates bring some good cream filling (please excuse the bad pun) before Meth tops it all off with the last wafer!

This is your standard WU release. I just wish they need something a little different while still being just as lyrically dope.
